Details about Four Queens Hotel and Casino

Four Queens Hotel and Casino Description

The Four Queens Hotel and Casino is a major downtown property occupying an entire city block on Fremont Street. One of the last bastions of old Las Vegas, the Four Queens makes liberal use of mirrors and bright lights in public spaces.

The hotel's casino is the jackpot capital of the world, with the best variety of the most popular slots and video poker. Centrally located in the casino is the Nickel Palace, where the nickel-slot player reigns supreme.

The Four Queens has four restaurants, the most notable of which is Hugo's Cellar. This is one of the few gourmet places in downtown. It has a romantic atmosphere that is a favorite among locals, perhaps because each female diner receives a rose.

Other offerings include laundry service, dry cleaning, valet parking, and gift shop.

The twin 19-story towers offer 690 clean, comfortable rooms. The amenities that follow are available for a fee: hairdryer, iron/ironing board, safe, refrigerator, and cable television. The extra person charge is $15.

The 4 Queens is an old hotel right in the middle of the action on Fremont Street. The newly redecorated rooms were clean and comfortable and smelled good. Check in was very fast.

The rooms are great have been redone, this is the 2nd time I have stayed here, will continue to stay at the 4 Queens. Gambling is good, service and rooms are great. The only problem I had is the restaurants, there is a 4 star one Hugos, to die for, however, it is pricey so not one you can eat at everynight, the other everyday one is not so good. There is no pool. However, you are right on Freemont Street, the best place in Las Vegas.

The lights and sounds of Fremont street are great, unless you are trying to get to sleep in a room on the Fremont side of the Hotel. The music plays almost 24/7 and the walls are not thick enough to keep out the noise. The shower in the bath room also did not work very well. It kept going from cold to very hot.

Room clean and spacious. Service without equal. Gaming personnel helpful and pleasant. Food delicious. Location was where we wanted to be. Note: room had recently been remodeled. Had HDTV but rarely watched. Additional note, A room is a place for us to sleep since we are out and about most of the time. Looking forward to returning.

It was a nice comfortable room. There was a smoky aroma, but it was great to walk out onto the street, and have shows, friendly people, other casinos, Walgreens and a theatre within walking distance. On the very hot days, the overhead and the open casino doors kept it cool!

This was my first stay in downtown Vegas. The staff were friendly, the dealers were friendly, and the service was quite good. Reasonable food prices, generous quantities, and the cigar lounge had good drink prices as well. Tip the housekeeper $3.00 a day, and your room is well cared for. Tip the cocktail waitress $1 a drink, and you won't go dry. VERY small room, but I didn't go there to live in my room. For the price and location, I would definitely stay here again. Hint: ask for a room that doesn't overlook Freemont Street if you intend to sleep before midnight.

If you're just looking for a place to lay your head at night and grab a quick shower, this is adequate. Definitely don't want to spend much time in the rooms which are old and crusty. Bathroom had mold and tiles falling apart. That said, you could still get a hot shower and a decent night's sleep. If you're looking for luxury, this ain't it.

The rooms are small but, clean. New flat screen TV!! plumbing is old and the water in Vegas has a LOT of minerals that plug up the fixtures. This is the real Las Vegas. You can ride the Duce to the strip and save some $$.

The rooms are very small. Stay in South tower as North tower you cannot regulate the air or heat. Even then you may get a room that doesn't work well. Drains take forever to drain. So, you stand in water while showering. We found hairs all over bathroom and floor was really dirty. Maid did not even make bed one day. Never picked up garbage in bathroom or emptied the waste basket. Overall, not so clean. Maid walked in even though we had "do not disturb" on door!!

I only need a room for about 6 hours to catch a few ZZZs. Non-smoning rooms are not available. My room was filled with 50 years of stale cigarette stench. The poisonous smell permeated the bedding. Each breath you take shortens your lifespan.
