Was surprisingly thrilled by the wonderful view from our room -- we kept the curtains open all the time never tiring of the beautiful skyscrapers around us. The staff was so helpful and very friendly, rooms nice and big, towels soft and fluffy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location, very friendly staff, can walk to shopping, parks, etc. They let us check out late and then they stored our bags until we needed to leave for the airport. Would stay there again.

As a traveler who has stayed in many hotels, I was a bit disappointed that the room was very dark, and for the money was small. The carpet was damp (from another visitor?) and we had problem getting the room cool. The courtesy bar was pressure sensitive (you were charged for touching anything), but yet hard to find anything in the bar without moving something. It is the Hard Rock Hotel, so the decorations were understandable, (KISS everywhere), but not very appealing.

Room 2902 (29th floor, view North)The negative: couple of chips in the paint, sketchy wifi, cost of a Pepsi (well it is a hotel). The extraordinary: The Staff, the view, the bed, the food, the staff, the wine, the shower, the climate control, the location, the staff, the view, the bed, checking out without having to check out. and did I mention the staff, the view and the bed. and finally, the staff. New lifelong customer.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Cool decor, spotless room, perfect location. Wish we had gotten one of the rooms with a view, though. I think it would've been worth the extra cost.

I booked this at the last minute, and it was a good choice. By this time, all 3-5 star hotels were in the $500 range per night, so we did not go wrong with the Hard Rock. It's not one of the bigger hotels on Michigan Ave, but that was just fine.

Very "Hard Rockish". We felt very old. Most guests under 35 years old.

Check in was easy. The room was extremely dark -- we kept trying to find where the hidden light switch was. I've never stayed in a room with such minimal lighting -- not sure of the objective. We requested an extra lamp which was accomodated -- that helped. The beds were very comfortable. The room was nice and clean. Had to ask for extra towels as well, and got plenty when we asked. Checkout was very easy -- did from our room. Staff in Hard Rock shop were very nice. Fitness Center was great. Overall, we had a nice stay, but would not be top choice on return.

I have been wanting to stay at the Hard Rock since it opened. What a disappointment. Rooms are late 70s-early 80s modern - very much like the restaurants. Only reason to stay here is its proximity to Millenium/Grant Park.

The hotel was great and was completely worth the price paid. The staff was there to serve. Location was great for tourists and attractions.
