Details about Disney's Pop Century Resort

Disney's Pop Century Resort Description

Each area in Disney's Pop Century Resort is reminiscent of a decade from the 1950s through the 1990s. The resort is approximately 22 miles from Orlando International Airport. Local attractions include Magic Kingdom® and Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park.

Jukeboxes, yo-yos, eight-track tapes, Rubik's cubes, laptop computers, and other iconic objects are located throughout this resort's nostalgic grounds. The '50s bowling pin pool, the '60s Hippy Dippy pool, and the '80s computer-themed pool are all heated. A children's pool and a playground with a water feature round out this resort's aquatic facilities. A 7,000-square-foot shopping area is perfect for picking up a few souvenirs. Additional amenities include a 24-hour front desk, laundry facilities, parking, babysitting services, and a video arcade. Dining options include various eateries in Everything Pop Shopping and Dining, snacks at the seasonal Petal's Pool Bar, and a late-night menu at Classic Concoctions.

Guest rooms feature Internet access, cable TV, air-conditioning, voicemail, toiletries, hairdryers, safes, and alarm clocks.

With Extra Magic Hours, guests staying at a Walt Disney World® Resort have even more chances to experience the magic. Each day one of the Disney Theme Parks opens an hour early or stays open up to three hours after regular Park closing, so guests can enjoy easy access to select attractions - even the most popular ones!

We just got back from the PopCentury. It's definately a "value" hotel. Extremely small rooms (no room for packnplay), but clean and nice. Pools no thrills (infant pool awful). Trans.ok, ALWAYS the furthest bus stop, Huge cafeteria, food choices ok, kids menu bad. No special "disney" activities at this hotel. Spend the money for an upgraded hotel if poss. If not, its nice for the money.WELL worth the disney guest extras.

Staying on Disney property cuts down on a lot of needless expense and travel times. If you want just a place to crash at night and sleep, this is the best deal for your money to stay on property

Brilliantly fun place to stay well worth it for the price our second week which was the first week of september was quieter. Beds could have been larger but rooms daily cleaned. We stayed in the 50's block on the back which was quiet 4th floor gave us free fireworks view each night. Diner needs to have a more varied menu but we were on fab dining plan what an incredible deal that is if you organise yourself with the help of the every smiling and helpful disney staff. Walt himself must be very proud of you all. WELL DONE AND THANKYOU!

This hotel is nice for the price, but is spread out, so get a "preferred room" near the front desk and pool area. The rooms are clean and nice, but the transportation to and from Disney needs to be improved.

This was our first trip to Disney. I chose Pop Century based on value and customer comments. I payed extra for the preferred room based on reading reviews and it was well worth the extra. We were close to the pool but not facing it and close to the entrance. The staff was terrific, food choices great and rooms were clean. Great time had by all!

We really enjoyed this hotel. The outdoor pools are heated and stayed opened late. They have an awesome food court and gift store. The decorations are great. The staff is nice. The only thing we didn't like is how small the rooms are.

Pop Century was WONDERFUL. We'll definitely recommend it. I've stayed at more expensive Disney hotels (Polynesian and Animal Kingdom Lodge) and this one is just fine for me and my two granddaughters. Transportation system is amazing and the hotel offered all we needed. Everything Pop was well stocked with souvenirs. The rooms were simple, nicely decorated and provided what we needed - a clean place to sleep. The heated pools and theme was outstanding and the staff was incredibly friendly. Birthday balloons and a card from Snow White was delivered to my granddaughter during our stay!

A good choice if you are on a budget. All areas of the hotel are clean and well kept, and staff was very nice. Our only gripe was with the food court. The fried food was fine, but other choices was expensive and bland. A larger area with more stations to order food would be good, as it is very crowded at peak times. A sit down restaurant would also be nice, just to have another option to the food court. The Disney staff was great, and the transportation and Magical Express really made things easy. We will definitely stay in the park on future trips.
