This hotel should be a 3 star instead of 4. It was nice, but not 4 star worthy. The rooms could be updated. Be aware of 15.5 % room tax and $40/day (+ tax) parking fee. It all adds up.

The hotel was great. It is right in the heart of the wharf. Walking distance to most San Fran attractions. Comfortable, classy, reasonable.

If you are looking for a nice hotel and don't mind that it's not extravagant, this is a great place to stay. It is only 2 blocks from the water, not 4 like a previous review I had read. You can walk anywhere you'd want to go along the pier in 10 minutes or less. We didn't try the restaurant, they were more than we were willing to spend. There is a Denny's a block away. Also within a 7 minute walk of Ghiradelli Square and the Del Monte Cannery. We found the down-top bed to be too soft, but it was a very nice room.

The hotel was perfect as far as location and look. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The bed was uncomfortable, the feathers kept poking me but other than that the hotel was perfect.

you need to include in your pricing the cost of the parking...it is unexpected expence...and for the general tourist, soimething that puts a dent in fun of a trip

Convenient location. Bathroom was cramped. Good shampoo, body wash etc. Room had spiders and millipedes that freaked my wife out. Tried to bill me for a $4 water that I did not drink as well as a day of internet that I hadn't used. Probably could have found a better hotel at a better rate.

Hotel location is fine. Bed is comfortable for folks with a great back, but soft mattress and feather bed make it uncomfortable for the rest of us. Valet parking was expensive and necessary if you have a car. Valet personnel were marginal at best. I watched as a taxi nearly creamed the side of my car. I advised the valet with little response. I had to climb across from passenger seat and back my car out. Other than that it was a good choice.

We stayed at this hotel for 7 days and had a great experience. Customer service is execellent, they are very helpful. Breakfast was great, with a lot of variety. Wireless was extra in the room, but free in the hallway across from the giftshop. Everything is within walking distance and other transportation is close by.
