The Riu Lupita All-Inclusive is on the Yucatan peninsula, two miles from Playa del Carmen, and approximately 31 miles from the Cancun International Airport. Located within the exclusive Playacar resort area, the hotel is alongside a championship golf course and two miles from the beach. The resort consists of a main building and private bungalows.

Resort amenities include the two swimming pools, children's swimming pool, complimentary sun loungers, towels and parasols by the pool area, sun terrace, Internet room, Renova Spa with massages and treatments (additional charge), and dining at the buffet, Mara Bonita Mexican restaurant, Adelita restaurant, and Panchito snack bar, which is open until midnight. The all-inclusive plan covers a full American breakfast buffet and continental breakfast bar, indoor hot and cold buffets and the buffet at Cozumel Beach Club for lunch, various dinner options, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, one introductory scuba diving lesson in the pool, two floodlit hard surface tennis courts, windsurfing, catamaran, kayaking, and use of snorkeling gear.
