The Hotel Pousada Sao Lourenco is situated thirteen kilometres from Manteigas at a height of over 1000 metres in the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. Built from locally quarried stone it complements the magnificent mountains that surround it. This area of pine forest, river valleys and natural lagoons is the highest in Portugal and a wonderful region to explore on foot.
