US Visa Waiver Program Effective October 1, 2003, the US State Department will require ALL passport holders from the following countries, who are travelling to the USA, to present a machine-readable passport (MRP). Children and infants are required to present their own individual machine-readable passport. Citizens from these countries including children and infants without machine readable passport will need to apply at the US consulate for a non-immigrant visa prior to their visit to the USA. Currently, 27 countries participate in the Visa Waiver Program, they are as follow: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
