Location Information

  • It is recommended that you consider renting a car while staying at The Reef. Round-trip Airport Transfers are available upon request. Rental cars are available on-site, but are very limited (book at least 24 hrs in advance with on-site concierge). Driving is on the left hand side of the road so you should request a vehicle with right side steering for maximum convenience. Both the quality of the roads and the driving are excellent. Don’t expect to see all the street names indicated on the map. DIRECTIONS FROM THE AIRPORT: After exiting the airport on Owen Roberts Drive after about half a mile following the runway you will make a left at the T-junction. Follow this road as it curves around taking you parallel to the airport runway. As you approach the next junction be in the left most lane, then bear left and circle around the bottom of the runway. Bear left again and merge into traffic on Crewe Road. You will then be heading east and away from the hustle and bustle of George Town. Stay to the left again at the roundabout, followed shortly by the Grand Harbour roundabout. At the Grand Harbour roundabout take the second exit and get into the right lane. This will take you onto the new east-west arterial. You will approach another roundabout that you will take the second exit from. Then you will approach another roundabout that you will take the 3rd exit from. You will then be on the road that will take you all the way to the resort. Relax and enjoy the scenery. You will head through Savannah, and then the coastal communities of Bodden Town and Breakers. It is recommended that you follow the road along the south coast and continue through East End and a few other small hamlets. The resort is located off the Queens Highway in Colliers Bay. The approximate distance to the resort will be 25 miles and your travel time will be a leisurely 45 minutes.

Wonderful resort...all the reviews I read said this resort was great and I would say" Book here! Best meal on the island was "steak night at the reef." Seven mile beach is beautiful but much more crowded and busy...this place was serene....

Found heaven on earth at The Reef. The most tranquil, serene, secluded, peaceful resort ever. Working full time raising six kids in New York after a week at The Reef w my daughter I was completely refreshed, invigorated, revitalized and destressed. The beachfront suites were amazing and the view was spectacular. The snorkeling was outstanding. The rooms were immaculate and plenty of towels. The staff was just wonderful Oshane was the best Rocky, Suzie and Tonia went above and beyond. The gym was great. Dinner on the beach was cool and the Caribbean barbecue had great food. Alan, Dave and Raphael from White Sands were an added bonus and gave us fun, exciting and very memorable ocean adventures. Having vacationed at some of the top five star resorts in the Caribbean I was still blown away by how special this place was. It is truly a treasure. I'm not surprised at how wonderful everything was after having had the pleasure of meeting the sweet man who runs it, Gaetan Bobbin you are doing an awesome job. Make sure to rent a car and hit The Cayman Taffy Store to bring back some yummy taffy, chocolates and caramel popcorn for friends back home.

We stayed in a condo on the ground level and it was fantastic! The beach was clean and it was very peaceful. The pool was nice as well. Loved the restaurant on the beach!!!! It is worth it to rent a car so you can explore the island.

"Beautiful Caribbean view from every spacious room; professional staff & peaceful, quiet location"

We've just returned from staying six nights at The Reef and can only say ... wow. From the moment we arrived and checked in, we were impressed. Our room overlooked the ocean, and was very clean and spacious. This was our first visit to the East end of the island, so we were unsure of what to expect as far as the beach but were very pleased at the pristine sand and clear water. Also, this end of the island is a bit remote, which we liked. We rented a car at the airport and it took about 40 minutes to get to The Reef. Highly recommend staying there if you want a beautiful and relaxing environment -- we'll definitely be going back!

"The Reef is the perfect getaway for a relaxing, quiet, memorable vacation"

This was our second year in a row at the Reef and we loved it just as much as last year. The staff is extremely accommodating and attentive from the minute you check-in to check-out. The concierge is readily available to assist with planning any adventures you may want to take during your stay. Most importantly the resort is beautiful. The entire place is beachfront so you really can't get a bad view. The pool rests in between the resort and the beach and the whole atmosphere of the resort is relaxation. We did the all-inclusive, which if you like to have a few drinks is a great value. The food was great especially breakfast and dinner, the lunch menu could use a little sprucing up but was still good. The bar staff is GREAT, you really get to know them through your stay and develop a personal connection. All in all we absolutely love the Reef and hope to be back next year!
