I booked with this hotel last minute on graduation weekend. I was lucky to have found a good deal on a place close to the activities I wanted to do. It's super close to the beach which was great for my day of surfing. Also walking distance to the Zoo and Kapiolani Park. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I felt very safe and comfortable in the hotel and area it was located which was very important since I was traveling alone. The one person room I stayed in was the perfect size. Even had a queen size bed! No view, but that didn't matter. The room could have been a little cleaner. There were some hairs on the bathroom floor and in the shower. It didn't bother me too much, but others might be freaked out. The overall cleanliness was good. I would definitely stay here again! Value was excellent!!

I stayed here a number of times and last year in June 2012. It's a typical Waikiki mid-range hotel that is 1 1/2 blocks away from Waikiki Beach. The room I had was on the 12th floor, typical room for this type of hotel, no frills, small refrigerator, small television, basic furnishings. The location is great as it is close to restaurants (Round Table Pizza is downstairs), the world famous beach, many shuttles for shopping and sight-seeing. There is parking if you are driving a rental car. Very urban feel when you get down to the street with many cars, buses, people, not quite the tropical paradise you would envision. But all in all, a pleasant time in Oahu.

this was great is at the nice part of waikiki beach very close to dukes restaurant bar and waikiki on that area is great. the hotel is clean and staff friendly love it ps.- actually we traveled july 2008

We just got back from staying here for two weeks, we brought the in-laws/cousins and have acquired 3 rooms. This is the inlaws first time to the island so I picked this hotel knowing the location, price, and quality of this hotel. I have previously stayed here a couple of times and I knew that this would be perfect. It is about a 5 mins walk to Waikiki Beach, International Marketplace (shopping and Eating) and the Food Pantry (grocery/food). There is also Round Table Pizza downstairs for that lazy/fast meals or you can go to Keoni's, a sit down restaurant or a fancy steak house. This accomodations is sufficient and clean. Thou, the furnishings is somewhat dated, it is always kept tidy by the very friendly hotel staff. The check in desk are a very helpful and friendly and more than is willing to help you in whatever way they can. They also have this pink line trolley that shuttles you around free by just showing your key to the hotel, you can be a short minute to the Ala Moana Mall for more shopping and eating! I love this place. made our stay wonderful and my in laws first time experience to the island very memorable.

Even though our final destination was Maui to visit some relatives, we decided to stay overnight in Honolulu. Since we were staying only one night, I decided to take a chance with an off-beach hotel and feel like we really found a great find with this location. It was only a few blocks from the beaches and was a great location, close to souvenir stores and restaurants (when you are on East Coast time, it's helpful to be just around the corner from a Denny's when you wake up at 4 a.m.) The service was really great -- the room had everything we needed. They gave us a coupon book (which we didn't use) but also a great nylon drawstring bag that I used the rest of the trip (I also saw other people wearing similar ones from sister hotels). I'm glad we booked our stay here. We'll definitely be back on another trip!
