"Good Location- Room could be better"

Location: 5 minutes from Vaugirard Metro Line. This is a convenient line for major attractions. Few cafes around and a great bakery opposite the hotel. Service: ok. As expected from a reputed brand. Value for money Euro 180. Thought slightly expensive for the room. But guess being a busy area and good location this comes at premium. Room: Good. In line with Paris standards.

On our recent trip to Paris that we booked through Last Minute, we were booked into this hotel. The hotel well situated closed to the Vaugirard Metro line (less than 5 minutes walk). Upon entering the hotel, it has a very airy reception, clean and well staffed. The check-in process is excellent and the staff are very helpful and give you a quick and concise overview of the hotel itself. There is free wi-fi, a sauna / fitness are, bar and 2 PC's with internet and a printer and even a little gaming area to keep the kids entertained. The room itself was clean and had all the usual amenities that one expects as a traveler, including a bath/shower, extra pillows, desk, TV and mini bar. We had the unfortunate luck to be placed in a room which overlooks the main road and across the road is a Police station. Not speaking French, I couldn't quite figure out what "Hotel de Police" meant till I googled it and found out that it's not accommodation for police, but rather a police head office. This means that all through the night you can hear the police bringing people in who've been arrested, so rather noisy. Also, our room had the toilet / bathroom separated, which is convenient for the obvious reasons, but the toilet lacks any ventilation (again for obvious reasons, this is not cool) - so no extractor fan made it a rather unpleasant experience sometimes. The pillows on the bed are of a European style I figure, small squares which unless your used to sleeping on a small square, they are quite hard to get comfortable with and the duvet cover is a skinny little thing ... but luckily it wasn't cold while we were there, so not a big issue. As for TV, being English your limited to BBC and CNN news - not that I am in Paris to watch TV, but would have been nice to have some other selection in English. We only had breakfast one morning in the breakfast area which was of good quality and even had bacon, sausage and eggs for those who want something more substantial than just bread and cheese. In general though, a good hotel, convenient and well priced in our case and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind some annoyances.

Great hotel very convinıent,close to shops,1 mnt. walk to Vaugirard metro station,wi-fi is a bit problem,slow and often cut-off,breakfast was awesome,you can ask an extra bed for your child,terrace has a perfect Eiffel tower scene,especially nıght time the view is breathtaking,endless shops and restaurants,you will enjoy your staying.

Points négatifs: literie, insonorisation des chambres. Points positifs : personel serviable et efficace, le city breakfast à 8€, le wifi partout dans l'hôtel Bad points: bedding, soundproofing of the rooms. Good points: efficient and helpful employes, city breakfast at 8€, free wifi everywhere in the hotel.

Arrived early Saturday morning, room wasn't ready which was fine staff took are luggage and gave us directions were to go. Room was ok double bed and sofa bed for my daughter, coffee and tea which was replenished next day. Clean towels and toiletries. Breakfast was included and very good loads to choose from and everything replaced when ran out, although it was very busy on the Sunday and had to wait to get a table there was still plenty of food. My only complaint only one coffee machine and a rather large que. on the Monday we got are breakfast an took it downstairs and sat out in the sun, no problem. Hotel a bit far out but metro station next door. staff lovely and very helpful. Don't go away to sit in lobby an play on Xbox can stay at home and do that.
