"Lunch by the beach oh my!"

My husband and I visited LaPlaya and were pleased. Our favorite memory will probably be the day we had lunch on the beach under the umbrella. We had a full carafe of iced tea and a veggie wrap. It was delightful. The property is actually nicer than the website indicates; it is not as large as it appears and is almost cozy. The rooms are cheerful and had plenty of storage, although our closet was in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable; it is unusual to sleep so well away from home. We only had breakfast and lunch at the hotel. The food was above average, but did not wow us and was a little overpriced; $5.00 for orange juice is just silly. There was a 20% gratuity for the tiki bar service, though at Baleen there was not. The beach was pretty, but I had to wear water shoes as the shells were really sharp and hurt my feet. I don't consider myself tenderfooted. We found the staff at the hotel to be helpful, but not anything out of the ordinary; many of the reviews make it sound like there is exceptional service. We had very basic needs, so we may not have experienced the extra service.

My company has had our user conference at the resort for the past three years. EVERYONE that i encounter is so friendly and proferssional! The banquet staff are outstanding! All of the food served was delicious, from the breakfast, to the lunch and dinner. The rooms are beautiful, the beds are so comfortable and the view of the ocean is something out of a magazine! Unfortunately, I did not have the pleasure of using the pool. But, I have no doubt the services received there are just as wonderful!

Having returned to Naples generally every year, we thought we would go to the La Playa's restaurant again, great buzzy place to people watch and have a cocktail, unfortunately could not believe the menu is still the same as last year!!, still decided to eat there as now settled in with cocktail in hand! We ordered four meals - x1 steak was cold, ordered two turkey burgers (did not want anything off menu as had it before!) these were tasteless and the truffles fries were cold also, overall a really disappointing meal experience, when we arrived at the restaurant it was busy , we did not eat until later, I think with our meal experience the chef had gone home by the time our order went into the kitchen...

My husband and I spent three days at LaPlaya for our 22nd anniversary. It couldn't have been more perfect...the room, the common areas, the beach, the pool, all far exceeded our expectations. We loved everything about our trip to Naples and can't wait to go back.

1st time at this resort and we loved it, although we live 45 minutes away we decided to spend Mother's day week -end at the resort. From the valet to room service the service was excellent, we loved the food at the pool bar and the pool was great. Only issue was that the AC was very loud, other than that we had a great stay ! We will be back again for sure.
