"Thanks for making me feel so welcome"

4.0/5

Fri, May 17, 2013 Doylestown, Pennsylvania

From the moment I stepped out of my cab until I checked out I found the staff here helpful, attentive and fun. As I was speaking at a conference on property even the front desk knew I was the guest speaker and generously upgraded me to a suite. When I came down with my bags the team instantly greeted me at the lift and offered to store it for me. Internet was reliable, the gym is well equipped and this is a great stay for the regular business traveller. I will definitely stay again. Love the hospitality here.

"High Pressure Guests handled with ease!"

Unlike most Hilton Garden Inns at which I have stayed, this one is closely connected to the Convention Center and the demanding guests that attend the conventions. The close homey feel of may HGIs is tempered by the volume of guests. After all the hotel has almost 300 rooms! The staff is Hilton friendly in spite of the demands, the kitchen is excellent for lunch and dinner... stretched for breakfast. Often I found things missing - juice glasses, some juice, table settings, etc. The food however is good and the staff very accommodating, correcting things as quickly as their limited numbers can possibly do. The rooms are very nice, the calls carpeted and very quiet. The maid staff unusually fast and very effective. All in all, a great job from a VERY busy hotel.

"My stay in the Big Easy for the Zurich classic"

5.0/5

Fri, May 3, 2013 Monroe, United States

Great staff that was very knowledgeable. One great savings we got was we parked right on the street in front of the hotel and only had to feed the meter a few dollars during the 4 days we were there because each day we left for the Zurich classic and returned after the meter stopped being read. We would put a couple of dollars in during the morning and kept our truck in front of the hotel all the time and overnight except when we were gone during the day. Great place to stay. Clean and comfortable and great employees.

"Nice place to get ready for a wedding"

3.0/5

Wed, May 1, 2013 Marrero, Louisiana, United States

Me and my bridesmaids got ready here before my wedding. We had the room for 2 nights. Me and a couple girls spent the night before, the rest of the bridesmaids came that morning. Up until this point the service was wonderful! The next morning we had breakfast in the hotel. The food was decent, however, the service for drinks and to take away plates was HORRIBLE! The hotel was accommodating in bringing a rack to hang my dress from and also bringing a few chairs for makeup and hair set up. When my husband and I got back to the hotel I realized I lost my key but the staff had remembered me and my room number and gave me a new key. The next morning our only complaint is that we asked for a cart, but it took an hour, so my husband went down and was lucky to get one. The hotel doesn't have a parking lot, you have to pay $30 for valet. My car stood there for both days, however my sister left after one day and paid for her one day of valet with cash. Upon check out, we we're given a bill for $170. We were charged for valet for 4 days. I had to argue with them, and call everyone involved with the previous day. After 30 minutes, a staff member confirmed that they had handled the situation, so they took the two extra charges off. However somehow a $14 charge was added for the grill breakfast. We hadn't ate breakfast that morning and had to dispute that. Meanwhile, the valet guy that was there was very disrespectful and rude. He was one of the 5 valet guys I met. The others were wonderful! We had a suite and the room was a bit small, however we were all able to get ready. There was a small fridge, and microwave. The bed was not very soft. I feel like the price was probably inflated for jazz fest weekend, though I'm not sure the room was worth the price paid. I looked up a price for a later date and it was a lot cheaper.

"Location and service all in one."

Stayed here with a park and cruise package. The value for this is awesome. The pool here is very neat, if the weather is nice you better check it out. The breakfast buffet is very good as well, selection of local foods as well as the usual hotel breakfast options. The entire staff was great, especially Michael head of first impressions. Very good stay, would use this hotel again in a heart beat. Nice location close to attractions but as enough of the beaten path that you can get away from the hustle and bustle of N.O.
