"great park, stay and fly package, average hotel"

3.0/5

If you are getting a good deal on a park, stay, and fly package, I would recommend booking here. Front desk staff were professional and courteous. They are well-trained and very helpful. However, the hotel room was not very clean. There was dust everywhere in our room, and it smelled dusty (probably from the floors and the curtains). The bathroom was average with good water pressure. The two TVs in the room were great. The beds unfortunately were not good - they felt like blankets rolled together and provided no support. The low quality of the beds disrupted a good night's sleep. Free breakfast in the hotel was much appreciated. Shuttle service to the airport was timely, excellent, and the drivers were very professional. Parking was terrific, secure, and convenient.

Really nice clean hotel with good in room facilities. Managers hour was great! The shuttle is not very regular collecting at the airport we waited an hour for the shuttle. Shuttle back to the airport was much better!

"A Great Place to Stay"

5.0/5

Wed, May 15, 2013 KANSAS CITY, MO

When I arrived at the hotel and checked in, they asked if I had a car I needed to park. I told them I had a rental car and was catching a flight the next morning. The desk clerk stated that unless I needed the car, I could go ahead and return it so I wouldn't have to mess with it before my flight. He stated he would have the shuttle pick me up and return me to the hotel. He also told me that if I wanted to go downtown to the city, I could catch a train into the city and the shuttle would take me there and pick me up. I returned the car and saved money by returning it early. The suite was very nice and modern. It was like a small apartment. I could step outside on the landing and look down into the lobby which was nicely decorated. The free drinks and snacks in the evening were great. They had a big variety to choose from. There was not a limit to the drinks and you could take them up to your room if desired. They had various snacks with the drinks. It's great if you are traveling alone because you are not stuck in your room with nothing to do. When the social hour ended, I took one last drink and a few snacks up to my room and enjoyed watching a big flat screen TV. The next morning I went down for breakfast and it was huge. It was difficult picking out what I wanted. While I was eating one of the employees came over and asked me if I wanted something else. I told him I was full, he suggested I so back to the buffett and pick out a piece of fruit or pastry to take on the plane for later. I was running a little late and missed the scheduled shuttle time. I went to the front desk and told them. They got on the radio and requested the shuttle return as quickly as possible. The service was great.

"OK But needs some help."

Fortunately they a friendly staff at this property. This is a pretty tired property and needs some spiffing up. The breakfast is fine but the dinner is much less than acceptable. I had their rubber linguini with super dried out chicken breast.....not a treat. There 2 hour Managers Open House at the bar is always good with 2 very nice bartenders. Hilton needs to put some money into this place but it is fine for a traveling night or two.

"Very Large Hotel,"

3.0/5

Wed, May 15, 2013 West Babylon, New York

The Embassy Suite set-up is inviting, with a bedroom and sitting room and bath. There is a sofa bed in the sitting room so it works well well when you have a family or small group. This Hotel is built with a large atrium in the center so all rooms face the atrium as the upper floors have a blcony off their entrance doors open to the large atrium. Interesting design, has potential. There was a prom going on in the ballroom the evening we stayed-I think there should be a notice of such events when you book your stay. It was manageable but still intrusive to our stay. The pool area is ok, with bathroom and shower included, with a large pool and hot tub that was actually hot, though small. We loved that there was a hot tub. The fitness center is average size and was clean and nicely maintained. Check in was slow and only two front desk staff on a Friday night, so the wait was a bit long. We missed the manager's reception held from 5-7, since we waited for15 minutes to check in. Breakfast was ok. A small buffet with limited offerings. The cooked to oerder station was much more welcoming. Omelets, eggs, pancakes with sides, cooked by a serious chef. Our omelet was good. The dining area is a bit dated and worn. The rooms on the first floor definitely get the noise from the atrium and from the outside. We were too tired to ask to be changed to a higher floor, but would advise anyone checking in to do this. Parking is an additional $7 and really a bit ridiculous as the price of the room is steep enough. Too many other choices of hotels to pick from to return to this one.
