"Functional if not memorable"

In town for UNC graduation weekend of 5/11-5/12 and our 2 night stay proved to be entirely adequate but nothing at all special. Couldn't get a room at our usual Chapel Hill hotel (Residence Inn on Erwin Rd and a better choice if you can get it) and had to settle on this place in Durham. With the 3 area schools all holding graduation the same weekend accommodations were harder to find than a Mark Sanchez highlight reel. Our room was actually bigger/better than expected, with separate sleeping and living areas, but that was probably the highlight of this property. Had a small "kitchen like" area with sink, refrig, microwave, coffee maker but no kitchen utensils (spoons, forks, knives, cups, glasses, nothing) that would make using the appliances actually practical. You can get all of that stuff at the on-site restaurant (bar/lounge too but didn't get a chance to get there) if willing to take a trip down in the single (to my knowledge) elevator available. Checkin/out was easy and enough luggage carts available in lobby to move bags up and down from room. Two TV's but only one remote, plenty of pillows but had to ask for more towels (and received them promptly), you get the picture. Indoor/outdoor pool was OK (clean)and had it all to myself for late afternoon swim so no complaints there. Exercise room had a couple of treadmills and free weights, didn't use any of them. Service at front desk was fine, asked for directions a couple of times and needed a room card replaced which was handled quickly. Again no complaints just nothing special. Location is right of Apex Rd, closer to RDU airport than we normally stay and convenient in that regard. Not much on/around Apex though, had to travel to South Pointe mall area for stores/restaurants etc. All in all a decent to nice stay but there are better choices in/around Chapel Hill if you are visiting UNC for any reason.

Used this for a business trip - important aspects were that it was spacious, quiet and had a restaurant. Fitted all three and the courtesy bus provided all local connections including the airport. I will return.

I have stayed at this property a number of times and it is always very clean and the staff is very nice. The rooms are large with a sitting/living room attached to the bedroom. I have ordered food from the restaurant a few times and the meals have always been good. I have never had any issues with this property and would recommend it to anyone.

We liked this specious room, great dining/kit area with sitting room, 2 TV's, large bath area. The only drawback is double beds. I prefer queen beds. I have noticed that hotels are going with double beds rather than queen size beds and that makes me sad. Double beds are just too small. Other than that, it was a great place to stay.

Stayed in a Lake View King Suite and really enjoyed it. Quite and relaxed atmosphere and very clean. Had a light meal at the restaurant (the small pizza is really small - but we were "warned" of the size and that is what we wanted so it was all good). Enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a good variety. We would stay here again. On a side note - we weren't sure if we were going to be able to make the reservation and they offered to cancel it very late with no charge. Glad we didn't have to cancel !
