Good hotel experience the only problem was that the ac unit in our room was not working properly. Thank goodness the weather was nice

"Unhappy Online Booking"

I booked this hotel online and prepaid the reservation so that I could be sure that I received the accomodations that I wanted, ie, a king sized bed suite with with a separate living area with a pull out sofa, smoking allowed. When we arrived, we were informed, that even though I had already paid for that particular room, it was not available and had to make do with a room with 2 double beds. If that was the room that I wanted, that was what I would have reserved. I do not believe that, when I prepay for a particular type of accomodation, that it is acceptable to tell me it is not available when I arrive. If it is not available, then don't list it in the first place. This is the second time in 13 months (previous was April 2012) that this particular property has done this. I will not book a stay at this property again.

New duvet covers, but old feather comforters. Very clumpy. The beds and pillows were also old and clumpy and very uncomfortable. There was a blood stain on the sheets. Shower didn't work. The microwave was not plugged in, so I had to squeeze through the back of the furniture unit to plug it in. WiFi kept logging off. The wall outlets are old and not able to hold my charging cords because they kept slipping off. Lights in the room were dim and not bright enough, especially with the small window which hardly let any sunlight in since we were in the first floor. As for the warm breakfast, my husband liked the hotcakes but not the eggs (they were powdered or liquid). Only offered apples or oranges for fruit. Wish they had bananas. But hey beggars can't be choosers. Very thin walls. We were able to hear people that were adjacent to our room as well as outside and the doors shut loud! Especially noisy at 3 in the morning. Again, people need to be Mexican Food from the restaurant they promote in their room "Don Carlos" is not the greatest. A little on the high side for what they give you in my experience. Found a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant with great Pho (Pho Saigon) on Midway north from the hotel. It is located in the subway shopping center in front of El Pollo Loco. Good location and close to everything. But you can hear the airplanes flying overhead.

OK< coffee cups in room had been used and not replaced. Had lipstick on one and dried food on rim of the other. Bathroom had towels IN the shower. All were damp after one person showered. Rooms needed some good cleaning throughout and the noise!! Upstairs guest roamed all night and the outside noise of people til 1 in the morning was loud and disturbing. I would not recommend this place until Days Inn does a complete revamp. I stay at Days Inn most of the time when I travel and this is the Worst location I have ever stayed at.
