"Nice combination of restaurants, pools, beach, but bed bugs!"

Good points: * Restaurants - Many types of different food, food was always well served, nothing very especial dough. * Beach - Beach is nice, clear water, hotel removes seaweeds every day! Nice relax areas (read lows below) * Pools - Many pools for all ages around the hotel, all nice and clean * Playground for kids - Did not use it much because my kids are too little, but they had all sorts of toys in there! Lows: * Beach: If you want to stay on the beds you have to add yourself to list on the previous day. There are no beds for all guests!! If you get lucky you will be selected. I stayed there for 5 days. Missed the first day, on the second day I get to the bed and of course I didn't know about this rule, so I had to move to a chair without any shade for kids... for the next 2 days I wasn't lucky and wasn't elected to get a bed with shade and then for the last day I advised the person in charge of the list than I got "selected"... Not sure what to say... * Room: My room was on the second floor very far from beach and other hotel attractions. We requested a crib for my daughter and it looked dirty. AND FINALLY WE GOT BED BUGS!!! After we left the hotel my wife started scratching as well as my son. She stayed like that for 1 week with insane scratching... Contacted the hotel by e-mail and got no replies... I think they did not care (and that is why I decided to write this review).

I cannot say enough good praises about this place. We went to be a part of a friend's wedding and everything seemed to go smoothly. The service was beyond compare, the all-inclusive food and liquor were top quality, and the resort itself was gorgeous. I cannot tell you how many times I heard the words, "It's my pleasure." As my husband put it, "The staff seemed to pop out of the ground just to help you." Haha! One unfortunate experience I had was mosquito bites. I purchased some provisions from the gift shop and was good to go, afterward. Overall, I would recommend this location for a family-friendly vacation or for a destination wedding. You cannot go wrong. Also, thank you Mitch at TripGuy.com for arranging everything from our stay to our stress free transfers from and back to the airport.

So my wife and I just got married here, and we can honestly say it was the best week of our lives. The impeccable service started from the moment you arrive. You are greeted with a glass of champaign and get to select the scents for your room and linens. After this you can go to one of the four pools or gorgeous beach. Our favorite part were the beach cabanas with beds. They were free of charge and easy to reserve. While on the beach you have a dedicated butler (Benjamin was ours and he is the greatest) to grant you your every wish (Ours were mango margaritas and banana republics). When it comes to the food you can't go wrong. As my uncle said before he left, "my worst meal was fantastic!". Room service was 24 hours a day and more than a few of our guests tested this. The Spas were fantastic as well and we received stand out service from Roberto and Wilmar. Our destination wedding was even more beautiful than we could imagine. My wife had a dedicated attendant all day to get her whatever she needed, so thank you Miroslava from Azul and Paola from Lomas travel. None of this would have been possible if it wasn't for our incredible travel agent Mitch at TripGuy.com. He pointed us in the direction of Azul beach and took very good care of us and all of our guests. I highly recommend this resort for your destination wedding or just for a great vacation!

This was the first time to visit Azul Beach. The customer service was outstanding. They learn your name and recognize you throughout the resort. The food is delicious...we rated the sushi the best, all though the Italian and Latin restaurants were very good as well. The king size beds that swing over the ocean are sooooo relaxing. The cons - were that it is directly between Cancun & Play del Carmen so a taxi ride into town is $90 round trip. The only other con is there is a dress code for dining.... so you may not get to pack as light as you'd like going to the beach.

We just got back from 5 days at Azul Beach Hotel for a friend's wedding. The resort is beautiful, with several pools and a great beach. The food was great, and the bar service at the pools, beach, and other bars was excellent. We really liked that the beach beds were free of charge, and were easy to reserve the day before. It was never hard to get a chair on the beach or at the pool. We stayed in a swim up suite and we could literally jump into the pool from our room and swim right up to the bar. What's not to love?? There was a fire show one night and a live band another which were both pretty good. The rooms were comfortable and clean. In our suite, we had a huge bathtub and shower with a rain head. Room service was prompt. As for the restaurants, the Italian restaurant was amazing. There is also a sushi restaurant with a sushi river where little boats filled with sushi float around a circular bar. It wasn't the greatest sushi I've ever had, but the atmosphere was fun. My husband and I had a destination wedding and loved it so we try to convince everyone we know to do the same. Luckily, our friends chose to have their wedding here, and used our travel agent, Mitch at TripGuy. He planned our wedding and we can't say enough good things about him. He helped our friends choose this resort and it was a hit with all of their friends and family. The wedding and reception were right on the beach and were both beautifully decorated. The family style dinner at the reception was delicious, and the staff was really dedicated to making sure our group had everything we needed and had a blast. I would recommend this resort for both vacationing and weddings and also Mitch at TripGuy for any vacation!
