Named after former Nevada senator Pat McCarran who authored the Civil Aeronautics Act, the airport is a major base for Allegiant Air, Southwest, and WestJet airlines. Since the airport is just minutes from the Strip, it’s easy to reach by cab--or limo if you feel like a splurge. Rental cars are available just a short free shuttle ride away.
