Local cuisine includes a fusion of flavors from around the world. Using the finest local ingredients, the chefs at Aulani have created a variety of dining options for you and your family. Whether it's an intimate sit-down dinner, a fast mid-afternoon snack, or a cozy breakfast in your room, you can find the perfect meal at this unique Resort.

Makahiki: The Bounty of the Islands
Makahiki is named for the annual Hawaiian harvest festival to celebrate the season of bounty. This casual dinner buffet features dishes with enticing world flavors.

Makahiki is a feast for the senses. With glorious views of lush tropical foliage, you'll dine among elegant, jewel-toned murals created by local artists. Here you can marvel as the interior light gradually turns from rose to indigo with the setting of the sun.

Family-friendly favorites include sliced island fruits, house-baked pastries, carving station, traditional Asian offerings, and daily specialties.

Our casual dinner buffet offers fresh local products and chef-inspired dishes with world flavors—line-caught sustainable seafood, fresh salads with local greens, rotating carving station, Asian-inspired entrees, and delectable house-made desserts.

The 'Olelo Room
This unique interactive lounge at Aulani surrounds you with 'Olelo Hawai'i, Hawaiian language words and images. The 'Olelo Room is open daily and serves Continental breakfast, as well as a lounge menu with fare inspired by local flavors.

Daily cocktail service includes beverages with a Hawaiian spirit, such as:
• Tropical cocktails
• Classic cocktails with a twist
• Mojitos and margaritas
• Fruit-infused sangria
• Flights of Hawai 'i brewed beer or new-world wines
• Freshly made tropical lemonades and ice tea

'AMA'AMA: Contemporary Island Cooking
Named after the 'AMA'AMA—a tasty local mullet fish that is so popular that it has inspired songs—this Aulani signature restaurant celebrates not only the fish, but also the fishing settlements along the leeward coast dating back to the 12th century.

Ocean breezes soothe your spirit at this idyllic, beachside restaurant. From sunrise to sunset, our chefs use fresh local ingredients and island flavors to create distinctive dishes. At 'AMA 'AMA, you'll delight in carefully prepared cuisine to reflect the true essence of Hawai'i at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Here you can try classic cocktails with a new twist, as well as vegetarian options and desserts that are made in-house daily.

Off The Hook
Decorated with cowry-shell lures, shark-tooth knives, fishhooks and fish-shaped stones, this relaxed beachside lounge resembles a Hawaiian fisherman's seaside hale.

A colorful school of fish swims above the bar, which serves Hawai'i-inspired appetizers and a variety of vacation favorites—including Mai Tai, Pina Colada, Blue Hawai'i and Long Island Ice Tea, as well as signature cocktails, wine, sangria, margaritas, and beers made in Hawai'i. Feeling adventurous? Ask about the 'Ike Mua, our discovery drink of the day! An Hawaiian-inspired food menu is also available.

This location is a convivial place where countless rambling fish stories—about the one that got away—are sure to be told. Perhaps you'll even overhear one of the locals tell the story of the great fish hook, Manai-a-ka-lani, used by the demigod Maui and his brothers when they attempted to "tow" Kauai over to O'ahu and attach it to nearby Ka'ena Point.

One Paddle, Two Paddle
Open daily serving freshly made sandwiches and wraps, house-made desserts, and a keiki (children's) menu is also available. This location also features a refillable mug station.

Private Dining
Private Dining is available from 6am-midnight, and will be expanded to a 24 hour operation. Serving Hawaiian-inspired specialties for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night.

The Lava Shack
Following in the Hawaiian tradition of the plated lunch, choose from complete meals featuring entrees like Cold Fried Chicken, Cured Meats and Cheese, and Chilled Miso-glazed Salmon, as well as grab-and-go snacks. Open daily. This location also features a refillable mug station.

Papalua Shave Ice
Cool off on the pool deck with fruity and refreshing shave ice.

Rip Swirl Enjoy a healthy treat of tangy yogurt with fresh fruit and tasty toppings in the teen-only spa, Painted Sky.

Kalepa's Store
Inspired by the traditional, family-owned, one-of-a-kind general stores that have served island locals for generations, Kalepa's Store offers a rich plethora of "upscale necessities" to Aulani's guests.

Kalepa is the Hawaiian word for "merchant" or "peddler"—or more literally, "to strike flag," because in traditional times, salesmen hoisted a small flag to show that they were selling poi or some other item.

The latest incarnation at Aulani features refined reinterpretations of classic general store designs, which still manage to convey the essence of the originals, but with a decidedly contemporary flair. Black and white photographs depicting modern-day general stores and their multi-ethnic proprietors pay homage to a general store tradition that continues to thrive on all of the Hawaiian Islands today. A remarkably unique "Shave Ice" lighting fixture adds a playful, colorful touch.
