If you've always dreamed of taking a volunteer vacation but couldn't afford it, apply for a chance to win a $5,000 Travel for Good voluntourism grant. Voluntourism gives you a chance to give back to the communities you visit on vacation--either for just a few days or even for a few months.
This grant will fund up to $5,000 for the transportation to, as well as the cost of, your voluntourism trip. Just choose a trip from one of our partners and make a video of two minutes or less telling us why you desrve to go. Send your video to TravelforGood@travelocity.com. You must be a legal resident of the United States to win the grant.
Be specific about which voluntourism trip inspires you and make sure to stay under the two-minute cutoff. Tell us why you should win and how you already give back in your community. Show us your passion!
We're looking for born leaders to take these life-changing trips. Upload your video to YouTube with the #TravelforGood tag and email the link to TravelforGood@travelocity.com.
We'll announce winners each quarter on Travelocity's Facebook page. You can help by spreading the word about your mission: Share your video on Facebook, tweet about it and email friends and family members.
Winners will have six months to take their volunteer vacations.

Hiking our nation's trails offers Americans boundless opportunities to enjoy nature, renew themselves and establish a lifetime of fitness. American Hiking Society works toward ensuring that hiking trails and natural places are cherished and preserved for us and for future generations as well.
Cross-Cultural Solutions is a nonprofit working to address critical global issues by providing meaningful volunteer service to communities abroad, and contributing responsibly to local economies. Founded in 1995, they have worked with more than 30,000 volunteers. Their projects are always sustainable and developed with community leaders, and based on current community needs. CCS volunteers enjoy a unique opportunity to work alongside members of a local community, a chance to experience genuine cultural immersion, and an adventure of a lifetime.
Since 1971, over 93,000 volunteers have joined scientists in the field as research assistants, and between them have contributed more than 11 million hours of their time to frontline environmental research all over the world. On their projects, citizens and scientists work together for the good of the planet.
Globe Aware is a nonprofit charity that mobilizes short-term volunteer programs around the world. These adventures in service focus on promoting cultural awareness and sustainability and are often compared to a mini "peace corps" experience. All volunteers are accompanied by a bilingual volunteer coordinator to assist the volunteer throughout their program.
Travelers are acutely aware that the world is not a collection of different people and countries, but a global community where people rely on one another.
