We’ve noticed that many of you haven’t booked your Thanksgiving travel yet. Here’s a little insider tip: fares are up 9% this year and demand for holiday travel is always high, so don’t wait to book your flight home. You’re unlikely to find deep last-minute discounts. There are other ways, though, to score great deals this Thanksgiving and one of the best is to be flexible with your dates. In the chart above you’ll see that flying on the holiday itself and returning on Black Friday or the following Tuesday, 11/27 will save you over $200 versus returning on Sunday, 11/25. As long as you’re at the table in time for dinner, flying on the holiday is a great option for the price and the lack of crowds!
