Go Wild at Disney’s Animal Kingdom – Let’s Roam Walt Disney World
Talk about a travel bucket list and safari usually rises to the top. But I never thought I’d be checking this bucket list item off in Orlando, Florida. Right now I’m surrounded by 1,700 animals of over 250 different species. So you better keep your eyes peeled. Disney always dreamed of a theme park where guest could be surrounded by real live animals. But Disney had a vision, and now, it’s called the Animal Kingdom. Guys, what was your favorite animal that you’ve seen in the Animal Kingdom? Pumba! Pumba? High five, I love Pumba too! And we’re on to the next adventure.
Disney envisioned Animal Kingdom, not only as a place to be at one with the wild, but also to foster conservation education, animal care and research. Walt Disney loved animals, he loved wildlife. You can’t just put these beautiful animals on exhibit and not be teaching people about conservation and how to help wildlife. This is Marshmallow, he’s a baby alligator! If he’s got to squeeze under a branch under water, or digging in the mud or someone is sitting on his head, he can push his eyeballs all the way down into his skull and that big this scale is protecting his eyes.
