Video Tour of Disney Theme Parks: Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom

Thinking about a Disney vacation this Labor Day?  Well, Travelocity’s globe-trotting web series Let’s Roam recently went on location at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida to roam through three of Travelocity’s favorite Disney theme parks:  Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Magic Kingdom.  Here’s a video journey through the eyes of Let’s Roam’s wayfaring host, Courtney Scott.

VIDEO: Travelocity Takes a Spin on Disney’s Test Track

Earlier this year, Disney and Chevrolet teamed up to re-invent Epcot’s Test Track attraction — the longest and fastest attraction in Walt Disney history!  On my latest visit to Walt Disney World, I felt the need for speed, and decided to take a spin.  Maybe you can’t tell from the video, but I was flying at speeds of 65 miles per hour!  Using Disney’s Fastpass (don’t go to Disney without one!) I was able to skip the long lines and get right to the high-octane fun.  Add Test Track to the list of attractions that both parents and kids can enjoy.  It’s educational, innovative with just the right amount of adrenaline-pumping action.

Disney’s New Fantasyland: Top 4 Most Enchanting Experiences

The last time  I took a vacation to Walt Disney World, fanny packs and slouch socks ruled the world.  But a lot has changed since then, and I recently got a chance to see first-hand what twenty years of innovation has done to Walt Disney World.  Suffice to say, I was wowed!

My first stop was the newly re-imagined New Fantasyland, the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history.  I felt like a kid again, flying high on Dumbo, going under the sea singing my favorite hits from The Little Mermaid (of which I knew every…single…word) and escaping to Beast’s castle where five star dining meets five star fantasy.  Here’s a little taste of my four most enchanting moments at New Fantasyland.

An 8-Year-Old on the Disney Dream

Indulge me, if you would, for a moment. Well, really for about three minutes. As I mentioned in my post on Tips for First-Time Cruisers, I was on the inaugural sailing of the Disney Dream last month. I decided to take my 8-year-old-niece along to see what she thought of the ship since, of course, kids and families are very important to Disney Cruise Line’s bottom line.

She loved the ship — as did I — and it was a treat to see it through her eyes. This video is just a few of her favorite parts of the trip.

Eight Tips for First-Time Cruisers

Today I’ll set sail on Disney’s newest and largest ship, the Disney Dream, for a quick two-night media cruise to get acquainted with the ship. Now, while this may be my first Disney cruise, this isn’t my first rodeo (rodeo = cruise in this case), so I know a bit about the ins and outs of a cruise vacation. If you’re considering a cruise (and why not, with prices now up to 65 percent off), there are a few tips first-timers need to know to make the most out of a vacation on the high seas. Keep in mind these are general guidelines and may not be applied across all cruise lines.
