1998: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park Opens

In 1998, Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park opened. The newest of the four Walt Disney World theme parks is home to more than 1,700 animals and sits on 500 acres of lush landscape. Take a look at the top ten “can’t miss” attractions at the largest Disney theme park in the world.

1997: Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

On August 1, 1997, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort officially opened its doors.  The Southwest-inspired moderate resort encircles 22-acre Lago Dorado and evokes the spirit and romance of Spanish-colonial Mexico.

1991: Disney’s Port Orleans Resort
