Find a better way to save money than booking this hotel. I probably should have left as soon as I read one of the many handwritten signs hanging on the glass separating the front desk from the lobby: "Please go to your room immediately after check-in to inspect its condition. If it has not yet been cleaned, return to the desk to ask for a new room. No room changes more than 10 minutes after check-in." Gotta wonder about the psychology of a place that has a habitual enough problem to make this policy, and feels like this is a better solution than, I dunno, improving the housekeeping. Which did in fact prove to be terrible. Rooms are recently remodeled, and functional if what you need is bed, furniture, bathroom, and eventually-hot water. Thus the 2-star rather than a 1-star rating. But the towels and linens were dingy, the shower wall had enough mildew in the grout to make me wonder about using it, the tray that in every other cheap hotel holds an ice bucket and some plastic glasses was empty, and the room HVAC unit (a window A/C / heat unit) was the loudest I've ever heard, and needed to run almost constantly because the heat is shut off to unoccupied rooms and it was about 40 when I showed up. In this room it was high-mounted on the wall (like higher than 6 feet) and took its time warming up the space. It was better on that off, though, because without the deafening roar you could hear what was going on not just in the next room but across the parking lot in other rooms.

Poor housekeeping, poor HVAC (cold, poor heating design), water takes forever to get hot, property is cramped and though rooms are remodeled the overall feel is run-down. No attention to small amenities like cups in rooms.

Clerk did not know a lot of English so hard to communicate. He gave me a receipt of $59.00 but I paid thru you of $72.34 and do not know why the difference. Called travelocity and got hung up on twice and still got no answer.

Passing through.

We were apprehensive booking this room due to reviews we had read. We didn't require much as we were just passing through. The customer service was friendly and accommodating. There were obvious updates made to the facility as this is a older motel. The room was spacious and clean. Considering price and needs this motel was adaquate. We were please with our decision. Remember, if you want cheap don't expect perfection.

A good place to lay your head

Pros: The price was right, we got what we needed, a clean, safe, comfortable place to sleep.
Cons: Not loosing reservations
Location: Unknown, our time was taken up by convention activities and we didn't venture out more then the local Eagles club.
Upon arrival, we found that our reservation was not on file in their computer system. We presented our Itinerary and they were able to provide us with a room (Smoking King Size although we had reserved a None-Smoking Queen). After spraying Lysol and Fabreeze the smell was tolerable. The room was clean, the bathroom stocked with adequate towels and cloths and complimentary soaps and shampoos. On day 2 maid service cleaned the room but forgot to leave clean replacement towels. Reported it to the desk, the staff was very apologetic and towels were delivered to the room prior to our return from dinner. Resprayed room with Fabreeze and had another good night sleep. Upon returning from the third days meeting we found that Housekeeping hadn't been to room. Wrapped up dirty towels and took them to the office, the clerk again apologized and agreed to get new towels delivered to the room while we were at dinner, They were. Again we enjoyed a comfortable nights sleep. The pool was clean and inviting, unfortunately my wife and I never got the opportunity to use it. Upon check-out, we had no surprises, no discount for our troubles but no extra charges for the larger bed. Moral of the story: Call the night before arrival to confirm with them that you will be arriving and carry Lysol Spray and Fabreeze if you are like my wife and I, frugal travelers not willing to pay high prices for higher quality accommodations.

my experience was really good and when I go again to Yakima I will stay at this hotel and the food was good and Travelocity worked really hard to make this happen even if they was a mix up in reservations I will go through Travelocity for all my travel vacation from now on
