Comfortable stay
Arrived in the dark so didn’t realise the car park was a distance from the hotel. The hotel is very spread out. Must be a lovely location in the summer. Nice welcoming reception and comfortable room. Took advantage of sauna and steam room.

This property is listed as a 4 stars but this does not worth it at all.... The property is tired, the room was ok and spacious as we stayed in a Superior, but the bathroom needs to be refreshed. The spa area is very basic and eventhouigh they charge a lot of money, you don't get the usual amenities (i was not provided a robe, nor sleepers.... Nothing). The pool area is very old, there is no one watching it even during kids time which was concerning. It is wet and slippery everywhere. The corridor flooring to the changing room is dark with mold as it is all wet all the time. The food is not good, honestly even the caesar salade is not good... I would not go there to eat. Plus it's not a proper restaurant, you are served in a banquet hall room, some chairs are banquet chairs... The breakfast is ok but there was way too many ppl for the amnount of food so one day it was a bit of a battle to get something. There is NO staff... I mean nor near enough, you wait so long for everything (including buffet to be restock). All in all it was a poor stay, we would not recommend this property if someone is expecting a 4 star, and also this hotel should not be VIP. This is really far from the other VIP properties we stayed in.

Beautiful scenic grounds.
Rural location, beautiful hotel, long driveway from the main road, so lovely and quiet. lovely spa. great that they accept dogs. Once inside the building there is a glass connecting corridor between the buildings which is great when the weather isn’t good. The room was lovely but not all rooms are available if you have a dog. (you have to upgrade to a “deluxe double” if you have a dog) Outside cleaning needs attention, beer & cider cans left in the grass out the front of the hotel & also cigarette butts in the plant pots at the door entrance. perhaps this was due to christmas party season. Slight issue with the menus for the bar and restaurant - one menu says the halloumi is vegetarian & the other says it’s vegan. it can’t be both so anyone with allergies needs to double double check and make their own choice. I asked the staff in the restaurant about this & they were very confident that all the halloumi in the hotel was vegan! Sadly we didn’t enjoy the comfort of the mattress on our bed. it was two singles pushed together with a very thin mattress topper, it felt very old/saggy.

shame about the other residents staying
warm welcome. hotel very clean and staff friendly. Other residents noisy and selfish-no consideration for others, talking late in corridors and slamming doors.
