"Beautiful Historic Hotel!"
My wife and I had our wedding reception at this beautiful hotel in May of this year. The staff was wonderful to us and our guests. The rooms were beautiful! The views were fantastic. Just a short walk to the Capitol and Union Station right across the street. Our wedding coordinator, Tracy Zahn, was amazing. Our wedding reception and our stay at the Phoenix was everything we ever imagined. They made such wonderful memories for us. If you are having a wedding or an event, Tracy Zahn, makes you feel like you are her only priority. She is passionate about what she does. Our guests just raved about the food. Everyone who works on the catering/event team really took care of us and our guests.

"Time for a good review"
After reading many recent bad reviews I felt it was fitting to leave a review of our good experience. The room was very clean and spacious. Yes the end tables are scratched and should be replaced but that is the only thing we found outdated in the room. The shower head had great water pressure, the bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet. There were even two LCD TV's! We went downstairs in the bar to have a couple drinks before walking to TJ Stones for dinner (which was fantastic and just around the corner) and the bartender was great. We had some great sports discussions with him and a few customers. The only thing that wasn't great was the A/C system. It is a central system and it was warmer during the day and the system didn't really put out cold air so the room was a little muggy. We were able to open the window though which helped. We would definitely stay here again!

"Great hotel, great location"
Just spent Labor Day weekend at the Hilton with my spouse and we had a wonderful time. The location being across the street from the Metro is a blessing, as we were in town to go to a National baseball game and we took the Metro to the ballpark as well as the airport. Old Town is a charming area with narrow brick streets, tons of interesting and wonderful restaurants and a lovely pier (16 block walk) that has sightseeing boats and a water taxi. There's a free shuttle down King St., though I never took it largely because I like to walk and the shuttle almost always seemed full. A shout out to NY Deli for being close by and open late (till 2 AM) for a late nigh bite. Ernie's Crab House (next door) is also pretty good. The room was spacious and pretty clean and very cool after a long day at the ballpark.
