"No peer in Washington"
The Jefferson is really the leader in Washington's luxury hotels. There are lots of great hotels there, but none with the combination of staff graciousness, attention to detail, intimate scale, and truly refined atmosphere that made my stay at the Jefferson perfect.

Nice Boutique Hotel in Georgetown. Only issue is that it is one a 2 way ridiculously narrow street. So if you are driving, good luck.

"Great Boutique Feel in the Heart of Old Town"
This hotel was in the heart of Old Town, making it a great location for visiting Alexandria, with just a stroll down to the waterfront. The hotel decor gave it a stylish boutique feel and it was a great place to come back to after a day at a conference or shopping. A nice touch was the complimentary wine social hour in the lobby each evening. Guests participation was high, creating a lively social vibe. Eat at Restaurant Eve, right around the corner on Pitt Street for high-end craft cocktails, stellar service and ambiance, and some of the best dining in Old Town.

"Great Hotel in the Heart of Old Alexandria"
The hotel fit in very nicely with the historic character of the district. It was traditional in the best sense of the word. The sitting room and common areas were very pleasant and the staff was uniformly excellent. The complimentary coffee in the morning and wine in the evening were also an added bonus.

I stopped in on an overnight business trip. It was great having a a little bar/restaurant right on site and I was pleased at the generous size and layout of the room. There was plenty of room to work and a nice seating area to have early discussion with colleagues. Staff was helpful with directions, thogh less so when asked to call a cab. The morning coffee was really good and teh breakfast offered was reasonably priced.

"Beautiful Boutique Hotel in Heart of Georgetown."
Our first visit to Georgetown .This is a beautiful recently refurbished boutique hotel in heart of Georgetown. We stayed on the first floor in large room with 2 queen beds with large windows and large bathroom. The rooftop bar had a great view of the area. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions and reservations. We walked to Georgetown University about a mile away, I already booked my return trip to stay here again. The hotel has restaurant downstairs which we did not try.
