the accommodation itself would have been a 5, the circumstances for me made it less so. it was a very warm time of year and there is no air-conditioning in the apartment, also no fans, there was a balcony but covered with widows without instructions to open the complex mechanism. so it was very hot which took away the pleasure of staying here.
in regards to the check in and check out process. the customer experience could definitely be improved, it was a real inconvenience having to take a taxi to one location to collect the keys. then sign your life away without explanation with a substantial deposit. then to take another taxi to the apartment without anyone to point out the issues of the place - some broken furniture, how to operate the outside widows and the fact that the Internet WiFi did not work. This was disappointing, I called the 5 telephone numbers given to me and was sat stressed for 1 hour waiting for an answer, considering that I would need to check out and find an alternative.. when I did get an answer I was relived to find I had to switch the modem off and on again.. solved the WiFi problem but not my other concerns.
I don't want to sound negative.. the apartment really was great and a good option if
a. it's not summer (no alternative offers)
b. if you don't mind the risk of them charging you for damage you have not made (nobody turned up to check on my departure despite my request)
c. the fuss to check in elsewhere
