"Best Trip Ever!"
One of the reasons we love this hotel is because we are always treated like family. Thank you to Mike Nakada, Roland, Evelyn Alanda and Lawrence. They were all very helpful and attentive. The reason we return. Chuck and the beach services staff are friendly and accommodating on the best beach on Waikiki. It is so relaxing just to sit and enjoy the view. The tower view of the ocean and Diamond Head is amazing. The sunset is beautiful. We love the historic section of this hotel, but the tower is a fun change of pace. We absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone considering a trip to Oahu. It is peaceful and the surrounding gardens are beautiful and well maintained. Mahalo to our Hawaiian family.

"No A/C but it was still paradise"
The hotel overall was a very nice place to stay with evening entertainment and other amenities that made it a nice stay. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome and at home. My husband and I went to Hawaii to get married and we had planned a simple wedding on the beach but needed some help so we used the concierge service, he was extremely helpful and worked to get us some very nice packages for a great experience. The in hotel bar/restaurant was very nice, a little pricey but very nice and the staff definitely had the spirit of mahalo. When you go to the island be prepared to tip everyone and walk everywhere you want get somewhere quickly since the traffic is ridiculous on the island. One other thing you don't see is the amount of homeless everywhere, they for the most part leave you alone but don't be surprised if one or two ask money every day to buy alcohol or pot since it legal on the islands.

"Quality place to stay"
Stayed for a week; room with kitchenette; 2 blocks from Waikiki beach, 1 block from Int'l Market, Denny's across street. Paid $10 per night to park (they lowered it from $20). Good location- didn't use pool or bar, but booked activities with concierge, and got free directions to locations at desk. Elevators were busy, but quick. I'd stay there again, or recommend to friends- or strangers online:)
