Staff were friendly, but the beds were uncomfortable (you can feel every spring) and the walls were paper thin. We were kept up until 4am every night by a group in the room opposite us, who were screaming in Korean all night. The location is nice, and easily assessible by public transportation. I wouldn't stay again because of the noise and beds, but if they did something about that, it would be a nice spot for a night or two.

Super clean and comfy
Best guesthouse I've visited in Korea - and I've been to quite many. Extremely clean and tidy with nice facilities. Location is very good, it's just a few minutes from all the hassle from Hongdae (and the subway), on a nice peaceful street full of beautiful cafes. I stayed in a dormitory and the bunks were comfortable and it was very quiet at night. On top of all this, my stay was very affordable. I would totally recommend!

I would highly recommend Roi House as a home base in Seoul. We travelled as a group of 4 and stayed on the top floor in a wonderfully clean and homey loft with private bathroom/shower. Location was great, within walking distance of Hongdae, which featured a lively young scene with many live street music performances and affordable shopping. In particular, Soo of Roi House was very thoughtful from beginning to end, welcoming us with great recommendations of what to see and eat. She even walked us to lunch nearby to make sure we got a bite after a tiresome morning of travel. Breakfast was toast/cereal/eggs/juice set out nicely in the kitchen that we could make ourselves and take as much as we like. At the end of our stay, she and another lady at Roi House called us a taxi and offered us beverages for the road. Thank you Roi House and Soo for such great hospitality in Seoul!
