Allow me to apologize on behalf of our hotel for failing to meet your expectations regarding your current visit. We are an extended stay property with a full sizes kitchenet and pet friendly hotel. Feedback from our guests is very important to us and your input helps with our continuing efforts to provide excellent service and a great stay.

For starters, I think people live here. The area, Schaumburg, is a safe suburb of Chicago. However, this place felt unsafe. Carpets were FILTHY. Hall trash overflowing. Unsavory characters hanging in front of the hotel all hours of the night, probably trying to get in since the doors lock after a certain time which should tell you all you need to know. I slept with one eye open prepared for a quick escape if necessary. I cancelled my reservation at another MainStay and just ate the $65 due to this experience.

I did not like the dirti ess of our room. The counter was sticky, food still on it. Mold in the cofee msker, food still in the fridge from previous guests. Sticky stuff on carpet AND THE WORST IS THE BLOW DRYER BURNT UP WHOLE I WAS I USING IT. IT SPARKED AND BLEW SMOKE OUT THE BACK. COULD HAVE CAUGHT MY HAIR ON FIRE. I called the front desk and told them. They really said nothing, said they couldn't get me another cuz they are mounted to the wall... I WILL NEVER BE BACK TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN, NEITHER WILL MY FAMILY. with everything going on this year with Covid, i WOULD NOT EXPECT OUR ROOM TO BE DIRTY AT ALL. SHOULD BE CLEANER THAN SNY OTHER TOOM IVE EVER SEEN BEFORE. THAT CERTAINLY WAS NOT THE CASE

Get what u pay for

I decided not to spend extra money for "frills" on a recent business trip and booked a few nights here. Hotel staff nice, room nice. Internet impossible! Bed too short (I was in a double bed) and I'm 5'9". My feet hung off the end of the bed, luckily I was by myself so could sleep diagonally. I'm pretty sure the room was tidied up each day but the garbage was never emptied and it had rotting food in it. Breakfast was low quality- eggs were warm but I didn't trust the sausage-and supplies for bread, cereal, yoghurt were sparse or not quickly refilled on a Saturday morning. I probably would pay a little more for a good night's sleep. Scale of one to ten? 6.5 If ur pinching pennies, not a bad choice.

Good for the price

Bed wasn't the most comfortable and the microwave was very dirty but other than that the room and staff were great.

Smelly room, smelly room what are they feeding you

Pros: rooms that are suites, location
Cons: The common areas need to be cleaned up.
Location: Lots of things to do in the area
We liked the layout of the room as it was a suite with a kitchenette and the location is great. However the room had a strong odor to it. We kept the AC running the whole time thinking that would fix it but the smell never went away. As well, there was a large pile of garbage in the hallway and the stairwell was pretty dirty. Additionally, you could hear noise from other rooms through the walls.
