"Great hotel!"
This place is as good as it gets for a 3-star hotel. The lobby is big and nicely decorated. Loved the fireplace! Staff is friendly. The rooms are quite spacious and clean. Bed is comfy enough. Breakfast is awesome. There are plenty of free parking and with free WIFI, I can't find anything bad with this place. I have stayed at a lot of 3-star hotels because I look for good values for mini trips. This place is probably the best! Great value!

"very welcoming"
This was our 3rd hotel in our 5 day/5 city/5 hotel get a away in So.Cal. Only downside to this hotel was the lack of a mini-bar. Hotel managers need to know how important these are when customers are driving all day, check in, and would appreciate a cold drink. Hotel staff did offer a glass of wine when we arrived, but we declined hoping to relax a bit in our room.

"Beautiful relaxing hotel"
Wonderful place to stay in the San Diego area.  Quiet, lovely gardens, nicely decorated, modern, but with an old world feel.   Restaurants: only ate there for breakfast.  Had the French toast and fresh squeezed orange juice, and my husband had an omelet; both were good.  Service was somewhat slow, but I was not in a hurry.  My view during breakfast, of a lovely fountain and garden, was worth lingering over.  Prices are too high, including paying 2.50$ for the coffee!  They give you free coffee in the hallway, but if you sit down, it is not free! Ha. Grounds: this is a beautiful setting, very popular for weddings and events. But the weddings were not noisy and did not interrupt my stay.  At night everything is beautifully lit, and scented candles create a lovely ambiance.  This is the best smelling hotel I have ever been to; flowers and herbs along walkways smell delightful, as well as the candles.  Stroll the garden paths for a relaxing walk. Everywhere you walk seems intimate and inviting.   Pool area: very nice.  Drinks and food are severed at the pool.  Lots of seating and also cabanas if desired. Rooms: nicely done. I enjoyed the tangerine accents and the muted neutral color scheme.  Beds are comfortable, done in all white, which I prefer, so that anything undesirable can be obviously seen (and there was nothing undesirable- very clean). Sheets were a bit scratchy, not the softest.  That would be my only suggestion for an update: higher thread count sheets.  I slept fine though.  Bathroom was clean, and roomy, and the shower head had a good flow.Tea and coffee in your room, complementary waters, newspaper, and wi-if (there is a daily use fee, so technically not free, but you pay the fee either way)

"Great get away"
My experience at the hotel could have been better. Upon checking in, the hotel was not able to find my reservation. Luckily I had all my invoices that I had printed out. After everything was figured out by the staff the only room available was on the same floor were the pool and the night club was located, luckily we were able to still sleep comfortably with out the noise coming threw the walls. The first night we parked valet (we were too tired to try to look for cheaper parking) but the hotel was trying to charge me for two nights. After showing my invoices from another over night parking that we had used, the hotel credited my card. I did enjoy that the hotel was about two blocks walking distance from all the excitement from the local bars and night clubs.

"Awesome!"
The only gripe I had was the price of parking but we were able to find parking on the street as long as a baseball game wasn't going on. The rooftop bar is the best! U can watch the baseball game from it!! Rooms are great and affordable.

"Wyndham Garden San Diego"
This was the second time we had stayed here, and found it to be a great, inexpensive stay. The grounds are well taken care of, well lit, and it felt very safe to walk around, even at night. The staff was very helpful and courteous, willing to go out of their way to help find places, give directions and suggestions. The hotel has easy access off of 2 streets, and the location is great. Across the street is a permanent swap meet that is great for killing some time and finding treasures; It is a straight-shot drive to get to Old Town, which was wonderful (I get lost easily!). There was plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The pool area was very nice as well.
