I’ve requested a credit as I was sent a pre check in option list. I optioned parking at $30.00 per day and early checkin. Upon arrival they sold out the parking and told me to find street parking.
Additionally the room was supposed to be a partial ocean view…there was NO ocean view from the room. You had to open the door and go to the walk way to get a view.

The room was great and right on the boardwalk. Couldn't ask for a better sunset. Hotel staff was great and very attentive. Not that I minded, but it would be nice if there was no early check-in charge. Parking is a bit of an issue, but such is San Diego.

After a complete debacle with another Hotel we had to make a last minute reservation here. The rooms have been recently updated and were nice, and clean. The location is perfect. Walking distance to anything in PB.
The issues we had were lack of parking. Meaning the hotel only has 4 spots and are $30 per day. Parking on the street is difficult, and Monday and Friday is street sweeping so you'll get a ticket. This isn't listed on their site. Had I know about the parking issue I would not have booked the room. Parking in PB can be impossible.
We were on the first floor, and when the room above us was occupied it sounded like a heard of elephants. Thought it was just the renters, however, we noticed it was anybody who walked upstairs. If you book, ask for a 2nd floor room.
The entire 5 days we were here, there was construction being done on the stairs. Since we were gone most the time it didn't bother us, however, had we been in the room it would have been an issue.
I don't recall the night clerks name I believe Louis, he was great. The rest of the staff not so much. Even the one day I was able to pay for parking and was using the space a women from the front desk called and asked if I was going to use it. Duh, my car was in the spot.
Not sure I'd stay here again. Mainly because of parking.

Poorly lighted room! I called the front desk to ask if maybe someone stole a lamp!! Even my kids complained about the darkness! Then i wake up to find a parking ticket on my car when the manager on shift recommended to hopefully get parking in the street in front of the hotel! Then street sweeping tickets me! Thank you for the recommendation!! Real basic room. Nothing to bring me back! Not even a phone in the room! Location is the only thing that is good about this location. Definitely not the room! Oh well, checking this one off the list!!

We are quite disappointed with the look of the new rooms. Not a beachy feel AT ALL. There was no microwave, no glasses for water. The heater did not kick in for the longest time, and it was 16°c for the greater portion of the night. The dial is not easy to read, as it's silver, not black writing on the face. Also, the lighting is minimal. No overhead lighting except at door. Not helpful in the rest of room. The new tiles are extremely slick in the shower & i slipped. I had to put down towels on the shower floor for subsequent showers. No tub :( . We didn't like the industrial feel and look of the room. It used to be bright, with whites and light blues, turquoise, etc. BEACHY. Now, it's drab and cold, literally. When we first stayed there years and years ago, there was even a full kitchen. We loved it. We'd come as much as we could, only staying there. We really liked the ocean view room on top too, but now, it's awful. The pictures online should've been updated. I would never have spent my money there.
