Room smelled of urine. there were feces on the toilet seat. nothing looked like the pictures on the website.the room felt dirty.

Hotel is wonderful

Pros: The location is wonderful--we had a wedding on one side of town and the reception was on the other--I felt like we were in a perfect location.
Cons: The air conditioner in the room was not cooling off very weel.
Location: AS I said we went to a wedding and reception. We didn't go anywhere else.
The hotel is wonderful. The front office staff is very very friendly. The air conditioner in the room didn't cook the room off very well but we were so exhausted--it didn't make a big difference.

Central, good for price

Pros: Price, location
Cons: Breakfast was simply bread items with drinks. Touchups with paint and redo were very sloppy, but didn't affect cleanliness. It was fine.
Location: Grocery stores- Lowe's on E. Beauregard (same street) and HEB have good take out dinners, etc.
Room compares to other $100 hotels in more expensive cities. Good amenities. Centrally located.

A great value!

Hotel was old and the outside was hammered, so we were nervous when we pulled up. The room had been updated with a super-good mattress, nice paint, etc. Not the floral bedspread and cheapo beach scene artwork we expected. Everything clean, flatscreen tv, curved shower curtain rod, spacious room, good location. A steal at $60 a nite and they cleaned the room every day. Continental breakfast sucked but we had leftovers.

Not worth the cost

Pros: At the time is was less than 100.00 a night--it was during the oil boom.
Cons: most everything; the walls need wall paper removed, new updating on plumbing, new mattresses, etc....
Location: It was kind of close to downtown....it is awkwardly located.....
Not worth the cost....needs a lot of upgrading......

The star rating was inaccurate

Pros: the price
Cons: Clean the common areas better. Brighter lighting everywhere. The entire hotel could use a bright fresh coat of paint to make it feel clean.
Location: It was close to downtown.
I am not a 5 star person but this hotel was rated 2 1/2 starts and I would be skeptical about giving it even a 1 star. The hotel was obviously old but they could have done a better job of atleast cleaning the common areas. There was trash in the hallways and it just had a dark, creepy rundown feel.

No Surprises You get what you pay for

Cons: No free Internet
As I was in San Angelo for my daughter's graduation from Goodfellow AFB, it served my purposes. I just needed a place to sleep and shower. The buliding is old, the lobby unimpressive, the hallways smelled musty and the hallway carpet was stained and dated but room was acceptable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Although the rooms could use a more thorough cleaning - dust on the TV and I found a cracker and a bottle cap under the table - the bathroom was clean and the shower was hot. New airconditioner/heating unit kept the room very comfortable. I woudl not recommend the hotel if San Angelo is a vacation destination and you are looking for a vacation experience but if you are just traveling through and plan on spending only a limited amount of time at the hotel/in your room, this is an OK location.

Was all new and updated. Spacious rooms

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
I really enjoyed mt stay at the hotel. Everything was new and the staff was friendly and helpful. Nice pool and restraunt.
