The mattress was horrible! Neither of us slept. The hotel had no extra pillows and the ones on the bed were very small squares and just not at all supportive! Bathroom is very old and the tub had rust on it! Not at all satisfied with this particular Best Western in Midland MI. We frequently use other best western properties so I’m really surprised this one has their name.

From the time we arrived it was a nightmare, I had used my debit to secure the room it wasn’t supposed to be charged, they put everything in my debit card I said I’m paying with cash. Then they still put a pending payment for incidentals on my debit card. I had other card to use, he said it would be put back on my card next day. The key card wouldn’t work to let me in the building, had to walk around and find open door propped by a rock to get in. Sometimes wouldn’t let me in room. Pool light didn’t work, they worked on them around 45 minutes before they came on. BREAKFAST WAS A JOKE !!!!! A small paper bag with 8 oz water, small cup apple sauce and a granola bar. My daughters room wasn’t ready. The morning we were leaving the lady in the next room screamed, they had checked a male guest into her room while she was still asleep. WORST PLACE EVER !!!!!’ DONT recommend this over priced nightmare. And the day we checked out the manager said sorry he should not have charged your debit card with out your consent but it will be 8-10 business days for it to go back on your card. UNACCEPTABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL

We here at Best Western Valley Plaza extend our apologies to this guest, I am the Asst. General Manager that spoke with her on the day she checked out I took the time to explain to her that when A Guest checks into the Hotel with a Third Party Booking we swipe the credit card for incidentals which does place a hold on the credit card for the amount of the stay of a night and will be released upon check out by us as long as there is no damage to the room and then it is up to their financial insinuation to decide when the release is dropped on their end normally no more then 10 days. Our grab and go bags go by Best Western Standard of what is provided as our local health department will not allow us to open our breakfast area at this time due to COVID. The Pool light during their time here was turned on once it was requested as we normally switch it on once it turns dusk outside they requested it to be turned on a little sooner then we normally turn it on. We allowed the guest to check in early to her room with the understanding check in is normally after 3 and the other room would be ready by that time. Again we extend our apologies that they feel this way and there are no guests we want to feel this way. We hope they would reconsider and give us another chance.

Terrible absolutely terrible and we were charged for damages that we didn’t even do and accused of taking linens. Which were given to house keeping cause we used our own. I have an autistic son and they assumed he was just bad not considering the fact he just has fits. Never will I ever stay there again.

Very nice accomadations. Comfortable bed, great Bkfast Buffet, close to all we attended over 2 days time in Midland. Would definitely stay here again. 😯😊

Fun affordable local get away

We live just a couple miles away but I was looking for a fun local and affordable thing to do for new years eve. This was perfect. It was myself, a single mom, my two daughters and niece. 3 little girls ahe's 5, 6, and 8 almost 9. The two youngest enjoyed the kiddie pool. At only 2-3 foot I was able to relax a little and even enjoyed it with them as it was the warmer of the two pools :) they also enjoyed the hot tub and dry sauna. The crowd good, the staff were very accommodating and were hustling to ensure pool towels were available on such a busy evening. After enjoying a dip in the pool we went right across the parking lot for some bowling, Lazer maze, bumper cars (our favorite) and arcade fun. Hotel had a little arcade the girls were happy to experience as well older kids seemed to enjoy socializing the evening before. Our room was nice and warm shower had great water pressure bed and pillows were comfortable. We had a small fridge for leftovers. I even left some things in some drawers while being slightly distracted and out numbered by 3 girls and Adam put my things aside after I called and offered to ship them. The next morning we enjoyed the pool and hag it to ourselves and the continental breakfast had everything! Milk, juice, coffee, cereal, oatmeal, waffles, fruit, granola , danishe pastries, something for everyone! I'm very picky about OJ and this was good stuff
