On the positive side, an excellent room in a really great, quiet area within walking distance of many great shops and restaurants. Who knew there was an amazing Michelin Guide restaurant underneath!? (Colline Emiliane: Make a reservation as they were booked up for both sittings for weeks!). Lots of great cafés within one block, so skip the €20 breakfast as it’s not self-serve, as one would expect in Europe. The cleaning person was amazing. There was no “library,” but there was a small common area. Everything was very clean and tidy. In the photos on here, they’ve dressed the entrance to look more hotel-y but keep your expectations low on that front. It’s an apartment building, which they’re very clear about, but that “lobby” photo is a tad misleading. WIFI was weak and spotty at times, the safe wasn’t working, and if you like a lovely blow-out to go out, you’ll need to bring a hair dryer as the built-in conked out after about 30 seconds on high. This wasn't a huge issue for us. Check-in was a bit bumpy. We never received an email with instructions but found a number to text, and as soon as we did, it was all very quick and straightforward. So my advice is to make sure you know how to check in ahead of time and know what you're booking, and you’ll have a great time here!

Horrible! Total disappointment and frustration. I messaged the property owner twice in the last couple of weeks to confirm that we're coming and provide an approximate arrival time. I was supposed to get instructions on how to access the apartment the day my family and I arrive at Rome. Once we got to the airport after a 12 hour flight I found no messages received; I sent a message inquiring why and I received a reply saying the room is closed for "safety reason relating to the pipes". So they waited until I asked for the instructions to be told that there is no room available. I got stranded with no where to go at the airport for about 2 hours and then I had to reserve a rom at a hotel 20 miles away from the Rome historic center since nothing was available nearby at double the price and had to use a taxi / Uber every day to get to the sites we wanted to see. It was a horrible experience I would not wish on anyone.

Great location & excellent staff

The Daphne Trevi is a great choice in Rome. We stayed in the second floor unit consisting of three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a small living area. We were a family of six and it was perfect for us. The elevator is tiny, but functional. The showers are also very tiny, so be aware if that will bother you. It was fine for us. The unit is nicely finished, and they even had a little Christmas tree in our unit! The staff was outstanding, communicating with us by email before our stay and always responding promptly. They helped us book a tour of the Vatican and offered to help with other arrangements as well, providing recommendations for restaurants, etc. They even prepared a breakfast to take with us on the day we departed since we were leaving before breakfast time. The Daphne is walking distance to nearly everything (10 minutes to Trevi & Spanish Steps, 25 minutes to the Colosseum & Pantheon, close to the metro to get to the Vatican). The metro is very easy to use as well. We highly recommend the Daphne and would definitely stay here again.
