WHAT A DUMP! I paid $170usd to “splurge” on a final night alone w my wife. When I walked in- I was mortified. Nothing like the pics. Room smelled like raw sewage all night. The fridge was old and moldy and rusty and didn’t even work. The bathroom light didn’t stay on longer than 30 seconds at a time. When I attempted to take a shower, which I was absolutely terrified to do, the moment the water came on, The showerhead fell apart. I called the front desk to ask for help to get it fixed, and they yelled at me to do it myself. I told him I was not tall enough to do it, and when they came in, they stared at me angrily while they put it back together. When they left, I turned it on and it fell apart again, so I just grabbed my stuff and left as soon as I could. My wife also got bedbug bites all over her arms. This was hands-down literally the worst place and worst experience at a hotel I’ve ever had in my life. Please be warned about this dumpster fire.

The view from the balcony was terrific, overlooking the beach and the pier, although the outside kitchen was hot, without airflow, to the point of being unusable… would have been more functional to simply have a balcony or to add a fan. The location was convenient, since water taxis leave from the pier down below, and the walkway along the beach behind the hotel leads to all of the beachside restaurants and flows to El Malecon. The staff were friendly and helpful. The furniture was basic in the room.

The location of the hotel with many restaurants, bars and shops was amazing. Our hotel room looking over the beach/ocean was excellent

Cons: There really aren't any immenities. Just basic rooms in a building. The rooms need updating including the furniture. There can be occasional loud street noise during sleep hours from rude drivers blaring music, nearby club music, or trucks honking to get someone's attention. My room had a pillar only 12 inches in front of the toilet making it difficult to sit and stand from the toilet seat. Equally bad was the 13-inch access space to enter the shower. Minimal street parking. The satellite TV reception often faded away or the picture froze. The slightest cloud would completely block the signal. I found one of the electrical outlets didn't work so I couldn't have the lamp and phone charger plugged in at the same time. Maintenance said they knew about it and might fix it someday when pressed. They suggested I use the outlet behind the refrigerator, in the bathroom, or on the patio. The only towels supplied were 2 bath towels. I had to ask for a washcloth which from then on they provided two and a hand towel. Pros: The location is very good. You can walk to dozens of places to eat, shop, supplies, etc. The beach is a few steps away. The maids were friendly but the rest of the staff were not friendly.

Easy to get to and very walkable to downtown Puerto Vallarta. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Rooms were cleaned regularly, with housekeeping leaving cute towel animals in room. I would stay here again. The only thing I didn't like was the bathroom drain wasn't vented well and left an odor in the room during the day. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable and the shower had strong water pressure.
