Very nice hotel but internet connection is poor

I was moved here when my room at the Al Faisaliah (where I have stayed before; very nice but $$$) was needed for a government meeting at the last minute. This Holiday is very, very nice, much better by several standard deviations than any Holiday Inn in the United States. Very nice rooms, baths, and the grill by the pool was great. Modern, lots of marble details, etc. However, the internet connectivity is very poor (somewhat ironic since they are surrounded by IT companies in the neighborhood). If you are just reading email it will seem slow but serviceable, but if you try to mirror your computer at home it will disconnect every two minutes or so and have to reboot making it unserviceable. Other guests commented on this and the fact that even the local Starbucks was much better. The staff would at times tell me it was working or fixed and it was not and I mentioned it daily over my week stay. They actually did not seem to care. Bottom line, I will not return because I could not believe them even if they told me the internet was functional. It is someone ironic that a hotel that obviously caters mainly to business travelers not tourists does not have this important service and does not care to address the problem. But if you do not need this level of connectivity, it is a really nice, new hotel.
