"This hotel has the charm and service I'd hope for in an AZ hotel."
The hotel staff is wonderful and strived to meet my every need. There are so many small, charming niches in which to sit and enjoy the atmosphere of Old Arizona. Because I wanted to enjoy peace and quiet at the swimming pool, I went during the week and not on the weekend. Also, I enjoyed getting up earlier before others were out. I didn't have time to enjoy the spa, but there is a steam bath and outdoor hot tub which I'll take advantage of during cooler months.

"Treated like Royalty!"
This a beautiful hotel located on Mill Ave in Tempe. The staff is always available to assist with any needs you may have. The courtyard is meticulously landscaped and the orange and towering palm trees are a great touch. There is a fireplace outside of the bar area and one out side in the courtyard that makes a cool evening a great place to huddle with your honey. The restaurant serves an amazing breakfast buffet or have the chef create a fantastic omelet. If your going to stay in Tempe the Mission Palm offers it all!

"Nice with minor glitches"
In the Marriott tradition, the villa was clean, spacious and well-appointed.  Staff was courteous and helpful.  Villas are designed to provide a home-away-from-home and this one had pretty much anything you would need... full kitchen, spacious double bath with separate tub and shower, walk-out patio, washer and dryer, safe, etc.  The property was huge and was adjacent to a golf course and the larger, more expensive J.W. Marriott resort.  There was a nice, full-service pool area for those who like to hang out and swim.  Ample parking for all guests.  The huge Desert Ridge Mall was right down the street and provided great opportunities for shopping and dining.  Some minor issues: dishwasher had no cancel function, which had the maintenance staff so perplexed that they pulled the plug to shut off the machine (needless to say, we didn't use the dishwasher); one lamp in the bedroom had a faulty switch which was nearly impossible to turn on and off; the phone cards did not give a number to call to report problems, i.e. contact the front desk.

"Expensive but Very Nice Overall"
We just returned today from a 6-day spring break trip to this resort. The location is excellent, very convenient to restaurants and shopping. The grounds are beautiful. The swimming pools are nice but are crowded. Tip: Go early to "save" chairs. Put down towels and some personal items or they will be completely filled by 8 a.m. One day my son and I went down at 5:00 a.m. to get the spot that we wanted. Ridiculous, but there was no other way to do it. The food that is served by the pool staff is marginal, but the drinks are good. Lunch for 4 with drinks cost us almost $100. Needless to say we ate there once and then never again! The parking lot garbage cans are filled with fast food trash - I guess a lot of other people had the same thoughts as we did. The Canyon Market shop/restaurant is nice, and the food is fairly reasonable and tasty. My husband golfed the adjoining course and enjoyed it, except it cost $575 for him and a buddy to golf 18 with a cart. Would be nice if they offered a discount for hotel guests (or maybe that was the discount price?). Either way, it's very expensive. Plus, there is a $25 daily resort fee on top of the cost of the room, which seemed a little ridiculous since our room was pricey to begin with. The staff was very friendly, especially Ryan by the pool. We were greeted with a margarita when we arrived - very nice touch! Overall, this resort is very nice and was a great place to go for a family vacation. However, I don't think we'll go back as we felt it was a little too expensive for what you actually got. The grounds are beautiful, but the rooms are average and there are no "perks" like a free breakfast or complimentary cocktails in the evening. Warning: If you have young children, be extremely careful when you are anywhere near the lagoons. There are no fences or guard rails - you can just walk up to the edge and fall right in. When we were there a toddler fell in and almost drowned. I can't believe that they are able to have such dangerous areas that close to the pools, right where everyone hangs out! Room Tip: They have live music at night so I would avoid any rooms with balconies that overlook the main area...

"Home 2 Suites, 1800 Division Street, Nashville, TN"
We were so pleased with this hotel. The rooms are very large, clean and comfortable. The shuttle is very accommodating. We were in Nashville for a wedding and other guests in other hotels said they had to get taxi's. We only had to get a taxi to and from the airport. Other than that, the hotel shuttle took us and picked us up everywhere we wanted to go. They also have a nice little breakfast buffet that is included in your stay. All of the staff (front desk, room cleaners, shuttle drivers, etc.) were friendly and so polite. And check out the local neighborhood while you're here. We found a fabulous chicken restaurant (Hattie B's) that was so good the line to get in wrapped around the block. And also a special little cupcake place (Gigi's) right beside the chicken place. Both were right behind the hotel. My daughter wanted an updo for the wedding and there was a salon right across the street. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Nashville.

"Stay at the Palomar Phoenix, you won't regret it."
I had the chance to stay at this new downtown Phoenix hotel and was blown away by the experience. Amazing service, attentive and friendly staff, luxurious rooms with a beautiful roof top pool and posh lounge areas. Kimpton doesn't miss a beat with this new endeavor. The worst part of my trip was having to leave the premise and go to work. Will definitely return to this great hotel.

I had mixed reactions about FireSky. The grounds of the hotel are quite nice, especially for being in the middle of a city area. The little sitting nooks were quite charming, and the lobby of the hotel was stunning. The spa had nice rooms but it wasn't your typical spa with a waiting area where you can relax prior to your treatment -- you wait in the "store" part of the spa for your appointment. The most disappointing part was the rooms - not that they were bad, but they were just "ok". After seeing the lobby & entrance of the hotel, I expected the rooms to be equally as elegant, but they felt like just a regular hotel room. Service by the pool was hard to come by on a busy Saturday afternoon, but the pools themselves were nice -- my child really enjoyed the beach part and that was a big draw for us to this hotel in the first place. All in all, I would recommend it because I think others would enjoy the hotel for the price, but if you are looking for an upscale experience, there are other locations in Scottsdale that would be better.
