"This hotel has the charm and service I'd hope for in an AZ hotel."
The hotel staff is wonderful and strived to meet my every need. There are so many small, charming niches in which to sit and enjoy the atmosphere of Old Arizona. Because I wanted to enjoy peace and quiet at the swimming pool, I went during the week and not on the weekend. Also, I enjoyed getting up earlier before others were out. I didn't have time to enjoy the spa, but there is a steam bath and outdoor hot tub which I'll take advantage of during cooler months.

"Treated like Royalty!"
This a beautiful hotel located on Mill Ave in Tempe. The staff is always available to assist with any needs you may have. The courtyard is meticulously landscaped and the orange and towering palm trees are a great touch. There is a fireplace outside of the bar area and one out side in the courtyard that makes a cool evening a great place to huddle with your honey. The restaurant serves an amazing breakfast buffet or have the chef create a fantastic omelet. If your going to stay in Tempe the Mission Palm offers it all!

"Great room"
Stayed one night for a concert at Tempe Beach Park. Great location - walking distance to Mill Avenue, the train and Tempe Town Lake. Probably the best hotel room I've ever had, and location makes it the best room I've rented in Phoenix (including the Hyatt downtown and Tapatio Cliffs). The bed was super comfy. I'll be staying here again.

"Expensive but Very Nice Overall"
We just returned today from a 6-day spring break trip to this resort. The location is excellent, very convenient to restaurants and shopping. The grounds are beautiful. The swimming pools are nice but are crowded. Tip: Go early to "save" chairs. Put down towels and some personal items or they will be completely filled by 8 a.m. One day my son and I went down at 5:00 a.m. to get the spot that we wanted. Ridiculous, but there was no other way to do it. The food that is served by the pool staff is marginal, but the drinks are good. Lunch for 4 with drinks cost us almost $100. Needless to say we ate there once and then never again! The parking lot garbage cans are filled with fast food trash - I guess a lot of other people had the same thoughts as we did. The Canyon Market shop/restaurant is nice, and the food is fairly reasonable and tasty. My husband golfed the adjoining course and enjoyed it, except it cost $575 for him and a buddy to golf 18 with a cart. Would be nice if they offered a discount for hotel guests (or maybe that was the discount price?). Either way, it's very expensive. Plus, there is a $25 daily resort fee on top of the cost of the room, which seemed a little ridiculous since our room was pricey to begin with. The staff was very friendly, especially Ryan by the pool. We were greeted with a margarita when we arrived - very nice touch! Overall, this resort is very nice and was a great place to go for a family vacation. However, I don't think we'll go back as we felt it was a little too expensive for what you actually got. The grounds are beautiful, but the rooms are average and there are no "perks" like a free breakfast or complimentary cocktails in the evening. Warning: If you have young children, be extremely careful when you are anywhere near the lagoons. There are no fences or guard rails - you can just walk up to the edge and fall right in. When we were there a toddler fell in and almost drowned. I can't believe that they are able to have such dangerous areas that close to the pools, right where everyone hangs out! Room Tip: They have live music at night so I would avoid any rooms with balconies that overlook the main area...

"Abram at desk was very helpful."
The hotel was convienent to many locations around the West Phoenix area. The room was comfortable and clean. Even though we were located by the pool, it was very quiet for sleeping. We would stay there again and recommend it.

The hotel was fine for my purpose - traveling alone for a conference across the street. If I were with my family I would have been disappointed; the pool is super tiny.
