"Amazing experience"
Definitely a Westin at its best. A great combination of a High end hotel with a comfort and convenience that a "Villas" can offer. If you have kids, this is the place to stay. You can enjoy the villas and still use a lot of the amenities in the main hotel. I Strongly recommend!

"Great Resort!"
Had a great 3 night stay. The casita room we had was very comfortable with a nice deck overlooking the golf course. Bed was extremelly comfortable and we are use to a sleep number! Staff is awesome and so helpful-you can tell they all really like their jobs. Note: the resort is spread out and golf cart shuttles are readily available but if having your car close to your room is important than this is not the place for you. Adjoining shopping center had good restraunt choices-Spotted Donkey was great for mexican food and drink. Cave Creek area a short drive away.

The hotel experience was good, but, they are undergoing huge repairs and this has limited the parking area which has made it necessary to park far away your room. The room was comfortable and well furnished.

I was super surprised by this hotel. Gorgeous awesome views. Lovely staff. Clean rooms with nice southwestern decor. Full use of club house at golf course. Great food there. Pool at the hotel was small but the crowd was small when i was there. Loved this place!

"Perfect place for girl's weekend away"
We wanted a place that we could enjoy the pool, eat, drink, dance and not have to drive.  This was perfect.  Overall, very very good.  We ate at Blue Coyote (excellent sushi) and at the seafood restaurant, Oceans. Clean comfortable room with a fridge and mini bar area. Several night clubs to choose from. Cigar bar downstairs has nice views and more sedate crowd.  Many of the other clubs have ASU students and younger crowd, but we had a good time and it was interesting people watching. The pool party on Sat. and Sun. mornings again was the ASU crowd.  DJ started late but that was OK, too.  If you're going, make sure to wear something to show off your new boob job... or not. Hotel staff could be friendlier. Gambling... it is what it is.  Resort is close to Scottsdale restaurants and bars.  I think next time, that may be a better option for evening events.

"Expensive but Very Nice Overall"
We just returned today from a 6-day spring break trip to this resort. The location is excellent, very convenient to restaurants and shopping. The grounds are beautiful. The swimming pools are nice but are crowded. Tip: Go early to "save" chairs. Put down towels and some personal items or they will be completely filled by 8 a.m. One day my son and I went down at 5:00 a.m. to get the spot that we wanted. Ridiculous, but there was no other way to do it. The food that is served by the pool staff is marginal, but the drinks are good. Lunch for 4 with drinks cost us almost $100. Needless to say we ate there once and then never again! The parking lot garbage cans are filled with fast food trash - I guess a lot of other people had the same thoughts as we did. The Canyon Market shop/restaurant is nice, and the food is fairly reasonable and tasty. My husband golfed the adjoining course and enjoyed it, except it cost $575 for him and a buddy to golf 18 with a cart. Would be nice if they offered a discount for hotel guests (or maybe that was the discount price?). Either way, it's very expensive. Plus, there is a $25 daily resort fee on top of the cost of the room, which seemed a little ridiculous since our room was pricey to begin with. The staff was very friendly, especially Ryan by the pool. We were greeted with a margarita when we arrived - very nice touch! Overall, this resort is very nice and was a great place to go for a family vacation. However, I don't think we'll go back as we felt it was a little too expensive for what you actually got. The grounds are beautiful, but the rooms are average and there are no "perks" like a free breakfast or complimentary cocktails in the evening. Warning: If you have young children, be extremely careful when you are anywhere near the lagoons. There are no fences or guard rails - you can just walk up to the edge and fall right in. When we were there a toddler fell in and almost drowned. I can't believe that they are able to have such dangerous areas that close to the pools, right where everyone hangs out! Room Tip: They have live music at night so I would avoid any rooms with balconies that overlook the main area...
