What a wonderful find

Pros: The staff is totally amazing. They are welcoming, friendly and full of good information. And the room rate is spectacular given the hotel's location.
Cons: An elevator would be nice but there is nowhere to put one.
Location: Spectacular location - walking distance to the Louvre, Pompidou Center, Les Halles (mall and train station), Pont Neuf and numerous eateries.
This is a charming, little, quaint hotel two blocks from the Pont Neuf, almost adjacent to Les Halles (Forum) and convenient to both subway and intercity rail stations. And it's walking distance to the Louvre and the Pompidou Center. Plus, there are good restaurants, bistros, a fruit market and a pharmacy right on the same block. For 8 nights it was a wonderful experience. The staff was welcoming, friendly and informative. The only true quirk - if you would call it one - is the hotel, being little and quaint, does not have an elevator/lift. So pack light and tone those calf muscles before arrival. But, for the price - which was amazing considering the location, this hotel is a great deal. If you're looking for charm and convenience - this is the place. If you're looking for luxury, not so much. But, again, this traveler found it totally meeting all needs.
