Property lost my reservation, then charged me addition fee to get a room. Room keep losing power. Shower was not handicapped accessible which I requested for my elderly mother. Old and worn carpet in hallways. Would not recommend to friends or family

This is a 1.5 star hotel in my opinion. First of all, as soon as you walk in through the main doors, the stale smell of cigarette smoke will get you. The main lounge area is dark and gloomy and looks nothing like the photos. The smell, again, can’t even sit there to relax. The front desk personnel was very pleasant and friendly but weren’t knowledgeable about how to get around or to get to a certain destination (which is not a big deal, we used google maps). The carpet in the hallways is something out of 1928.... every inch of it is stained and the surface itself is very uneven. The carpet in the room, same story.... we could not figure out how to work the AC in the room, perhaps it was out of order just like their pool that was “temporary out of order”. The WiFi was available but comparable to a dial up internet from 1999. If you got more than two gadgets to charge, you’re out of luck... the electrical outlets are very limited. The water stream in the shower is very weak...the hotel itself from the outside looks very nice but once you’re inside, it’s a different story. Lastly, our lock to the door wasn’t working very well, and the only way to lock the door is you had to slam it very hard. One night, when we just went to bed around midnight, we heard the door open and a guy walked in with his luggage inside of our room. We all screamed and so did he, he realized he got into the wrong room and left right away. As a result, we were all scared after the incident and could not go
