So my husband and I stayed at the Rodeway 3 years ago, and while it wasn’t super fancy, it was nice and clean and very convenient when going to an event at the moda center. It was also very reasonably priced at less than $100 per night. We learned at that time that they had just come under new owners. Well, this weekend We booked online and got placed in smoking rooms without knowing it. The rooms smelled so bad. There was an unknown sticky glob of something stuck on the furnace. We had three rooms in our group and all of the beds had tears and/or burns in the top covers. And the ice machine was broke. For $200 per night, felt like we got about a $50 per night type of stay. We will never go back under these new owners.

When you have the words convention center in your name, you expect a bigger nicer hotel. Especially for the price. The front desk check in room can only fit like 4 people in it at a time. The "continental breakfast" was coffee, juice and individually wrapped sticky buns. No hot food. No where but your room to eat. I picked this place especially for the breakfast and was forced to find a place to have a hot breakfast because this place did not deliver. Definitely not worth the price.

Attentive Staff

Pros: The staff were quite helpful and pleasant.
Cons: This hotel needs some serious maintenance done to it.
Location: Centrally located. Signage in Portland roads could be better.
Very clean accommodations. That being said, facility maintenance should bump up their eddorts. The top on the small table in our room was very unstable and appeared to just need its screws tightened. The handle on the shower was broken to the point that it was a challenge to adjust the hot water.

The hotel is close to the Rose Garden

Pros: Quiet, free wi-fi
Cons: Poor breakfast
It was clean. The fitted sheets would not stay on the mattress. The air conditioner would not work. The shower would not get warm.
