"Stylish hotel with many unique features!"
Hotel 71 in Quebec City is hands down the best hotel we've ever stayed at!
The owners of this boutique hotel in the Lower Town took a former bank building and converted into a luxury hotel with 12-14-foot ceilings and so much more: Hardwood floors, comfortable beds, contemporary furniture, fluffy robes, large bath towels, spa-quality shower, upscale bathroom amenities available for purchase in the lobby, wide-screen TV, excellent task lighting, in-room safe, small refrigerator, umbrella, iPod dock, sound system, single-cup coffee maker, china cups and saucers, wineglasses and wine opener, and ample bathroom storage space and an electronic Do Not Disturb system (so much nicer than those awkward placards). The closet was adequate, the water was hot, the view - a rear view - was good.
The free continental breakfast was one of the best we've sampled: Bagels, croissants, ham, cheese, fruit, nuts, jams, cream cheese, peanut butter, and a variety of juices. Truthfully, it was as good as any we've had in Paris.
The maid service was good, the front desk was friendly and got us a taxi to the airport in minutes. The bellmen were efficient.
We can't find anything wrong with this hotel. Our classic room lacked a microwave and bathtub - but that's all it lacked.
We hope to return!
