Cons: Seriously fix the plumbing in this place. completely unacceptable
We really wanted to like this hotel given it's location to the promenade and all the restaurants in Old Town but unfortunately the room condition made our stay very unenjoyable. The first night in our room we noticed whenever you flush the toilet, the shower would gurgle and burp up a horrible stench. We complained to the front desk and asked them to look into it. Second day there we checked back in with the front desk to see if anybody was going to address the problem and they stated they where trying to get a plumber out on a Sunday with no luck. That evening somebody must of gotten the room above us because whenever they flushed their toilet (I know this cause you can hear everything thru the walls) the shower would, gurgle and then burp up the most foul stench ever. so bad it would make it's way out into the room unless we closed the door to the bath. I then complained again to the front desk about the problem with not offer to move us. We check out the next morning and again complained to the front desk. The lady that check us out offered to upgrade us on our next stay and then took off 10%. Seriously? Now I'm not the type of traveller that likes to complain or try to get free stuff but in a situation like this I would think that the hotel staff would go out of their way to accommodate us, especially given the health hazards of having sewer pipe gas keep coming into our room. I have to say I can't recommend this hotel to anybody until they fix this
