"Great hotel and great value. "
Was in NY City for a wedding and the hotel was a couple of blocks from the venue, what a great value. Room was quiet from outside noise and very comfortable. Restaurant was great for breakfast and had a nice bar. Would highly recommend this for value, location and comfort.

"Nice hotel, very quiet, good location. "
Long lines to store and pick up your luggage. The elevators were very slow. But other than that, it was a great experience. I would definitely stay there again.

"Our visit to the Big Apple"
We went to NYC for a short vacation. We enjoyed our stay in the city. Weather was great and sights were enjoyable. Some crowds in Time Square during Friday and Saturday evening which is normal.

"Great location but a bit disappointing"
I was expecting more from a Kimpton Boutique Hotel. Both because of the way the company promotes their brand and because I’ve stayed at one other Kimpton property. Loved the location, the eucalyptus infused towels available in the lobby, the free cocktail hour, and the comfy beds. Did not care for the nut shells and chips on the floor of our room, the absence of an exhaust fan in the bathroom which made for a steamy entirely mirrored bathroom, missing décor from the walls, and having to remind the staff that four guests had checked into the room but only two sets of towels were provided everyday (and, not a washcloth to be found in the entire hotel on the second day of our stay). In the end, for the Travelocity price I paid for the room, it was a good value for NYC. However, had I paid the full price for this room, I would have been more upset.

"Good location and reasonable price"
I was in town for the night and the hotel was reasonably priced and in the general vicinity of where I wanted to be. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The room was small but it was clean and well maintained. There was an air of luxury about it even though it was much less expensive than others in the area. The staff was helpful and the lobby well apportioned. I would highly recommend it and stay there again.

"Great Hotel; Great Location"
All the little details ADD Up!!! Room is small - but you don't feel claustrophobic. View of Hudson. Loved the small book shelf and books - if we had our kids with us - they would have been using that dictionary :) Bathroom is sorta big - long. shower, no tub. Water temp great. Water bottle stations on each floor - they have bottles and lids for you to fill up and take. Then they have closets that have extra pillows, blankets, etc - so you don't have to call anyone - just go get it! Down in the lobby - the computer station (included a mac) actually worked and the printer worked great too - no issues (which is a first for us). There is a coffee machine - will make different coffees for you. Also, a snack station - m&m's, peanuts, sunflower seeds, etc - all there with the twist of a knob. There were also can drinks available for you - next to the coffee machine. Very nice touches- very thoughtful. The restaurant on Floor 20 is a must. you can sit outside or inside and it literally faces the memorial - great view if the Hudson too. Staff was very nice and accommodating - even to the French people that weren't very nice to them. Breakfast food was good and nice variety. If you exit the restaurant and go across the hallway - you can go outside over there too! it's a quiet spot with chairs and a GREAT VIEW of the bridge!!! Great hidden spot to chill. Front Desk staff friendly, held our bags for a couple of hours. Then we did UBER to LGA.

"Great place"
I'm not hard to please. For my trip to NYC I didn't need some turn down swanky high dollar hotel that offered fancy yet expensive side bits. All I needed was a nice clean room in a safe neighborhood which was what I got and more. I was overly happy with the room, the staff was great with everything I needed and all my experience at the hotel was great.

Near great restaurants and close to the subway, which is a straight shot to Times Square. The staff from the front Desk to the restaurant were exceptional. Definitely will be back.

    Hotels in NYC

If you're looking for a vacation destination that has something for everyone, you need look no further than the Big Apple. New York City has been called "the center of the universe," and it's easy to see why: It's the hub of American commerce, a major theater mecca, a museum buff's dream, and a foodie's paradise. New York City truly has it all, and with Travelocity, you won't have to empty your wallet to see it all: We've got great deals on hotels in NYC as well as flights into the John F. Kennedy or LaGuardia airports.

    Where to Go

There's so much to see and do in New York City that it can be hard figuring out how to start planning your trip. Begin with the basics: What type of vacationer are you?

    • A Fan of the Arts: If you're into the performing arts, there's no shortage of must-see destinations in the Big Apple. Seeing a Tony-nominated Broadway play or musical would be a great experience, but if you're looking for something a bit more highbrow, check out the New York City Ballet at Lincoln Center or attend a concert of the New York Philharmonic. If moving pictures are more your thing, check out the NBC Studio Tour at Rockefeller Center. More of a visual arts fan? There's plenty for you, too, from the many galleries that line the streets of the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan to a plethora of major museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
    • A History Buff: New York City is rich in historical exhibits, from ancient artifacts to more modern events. The American Museum of Natural History is popular with adults and children alike; kids especially love the dinosaur exhibits! To learn about the American immigrant experience, take a ferry to the Ellis Island Immigration Museum. Or to learn about more recent events, take a moment to reflect on a national tragedy and remember its victims at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.
    • A Sports Fan: If you like baseball, no visit to New York City would be complete without taking the subway to the Bronx for a game at Yankee Stadium. But if you like your pitchers to hit, too, you could always go to a Mets game at Citi Field instead. Too cold out for baseball? No problem: New York City is also home to two NHL teams, the Islanders and the Rangers. If you'd rather see action on a basketball court than on the ice, perhaps you'd enjoy seeing a Knicks or Nets game instead.
    • A Foodie: New York City is one of the major food capitals of the world, and you don't have to blow your vacation budget to enjoy the flavors of the city. Sure, the city's restaurants have more Michelin stars than you can shake a stick at, from Per Se to Le Bernardin to Cafe Boulud, but you could also have a great meal at Peking Duck House in Manhattan's Chinatown, grab a burger at one of the Shake Shack locations around the city, or keep an eye out for one of the city's popular food trucks, like Korilla BBQ or Big Gay Ice Cream. If you're particularly hungry, you could even try sampling from the plethora of pizza shops all around the city in search of the best slice!

    Can't-Miss Sights

Of course, you'll kick yourself if you don't take in some of the city's top tourist sights, the ones your friends will ask about when you get back home. If you're looking to stay in New York City hotels near the southern end of the island of Manhattan, it'll be an easy walk to have a look around Wall Street and pose for pictures with the Charging Bull statue in Bowling Green Park. Then, take the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty: If you plan your visit well in advance, you might even be able to get tickets to climb all the way up into Lady Liberty's crown!

If you're planning to take in a Broadway show, you might want to look at hotels in New York City that are closer to Times Square. The eye-popping displays of billboards and lights will cause you to gape in wide-eyed wonder as you take in this famous area that's perhaps best-known as the home of the annual New Year's Eve ball drop. There are also plenty of interesting things to see at ground level, from retail stores to restaurants to attractions like Discovery Times Square.

Visitors seeking relief from the bright lights of the big city should head north, where they'll find Central Park. Hotels in NYC that overlook the park won't likely be cheap, but the views will be amazing. And the views at ground level are entirely free: Take a stroll through this sprawling park and try to pick out the locations where scenes from your favorite movies were filmed, admire the many statues of famous figures strewn throughout the park, ride in a horse-drawn carriage, or just relax and enjoy the natural beauty; you'll find it to be a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple.

    Mark Your Calendar

Obviously, there are plenty of reasons to book New York City vacation packages. It's easy to see that this is a great place to go: The only question is when. Hotels in New York City will tend to be cheaper in January and February, since that tends to be the quietest (and coldest) time of year, but you don't have to limit yourself to those months to find cheap hotels in NYC: Travelocity can find you a great deal all year long. Perhaps you'd rather see the city in the summertime, especially if you're hoping to get tickets to a game during baseball season. Autumn can be an alluring time of year: Vernon Duke even wrote a classic song about it, pointing out the beauty of the "glittering crowds and shimmering clouds in canyons of steel." When the weather turns colder, people from all over the country and the world flock to hotels in NYC to see the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Christmas time is also a great time to visit: Popular draws include the array of festive store window displays and the skating rink at Rockefeller Center.

No matter what you decide to do in New York City or when you decide to go, with Travelocity, you won't need the bank account of a Wall Street tycoon to experience the Big Apple like a native New Yorker: Hotel reservations are simple and economical with us, and we can also find you great deals on flights.
