Nice room. Day staff great. Evening was noisy. A group of teenagers were allowed to congregate in the hall all evening past 1030. I had to go out and yell at them. We chose this hotel because it was away from the french quarter and the madness. The next morning the teens and there group again were congregating in the hall. For the 350 a night i would expect some peace and quiet when i try to sleep. I cannot recommend staying here. Im going to ask for a partial refund. I could have stayed at the ramada for much less and got a better night sleep.

Good Day,I am sorry you had issues with noise in the hotel. That is an unusual complaint for our hotel as we are only a 44 room property.We unfortunately cannot control every guest, but we do our best. We are located in a large metropolitan area where most people are here for revelry which can sometimes get noisy.We do have security on site who is happy to break up any groups.We do suggest always booking directly through the hotel so that you can request a room in a quieter location.

We loved that there was free parking, since there isn’t a lot of downtown parking. Also, we were conveniently next to the Hop On-Hop Off tour bus stop. We loved exploring the surrounding area and walking around the garden district on Magazine Street. We took a small little hike over to the Lafayette cemetery where several movies were filmed. We couldn’t get in, but it was fun to walk around and peer through the gates. There is an adorable coffee shop less than a block away from the hotel. A little further is a Walgreens, Smoothie King, and Houston’s restaurant where they had live jazz music at night and delicious food. There were homeless people nearby, but most didn’t approach you. We only encountered one person pan handling the few days we were there. The staff was friendly. The lovely lady at checkin was super welcoming. Another evening we needed some plastic flatware and the man at the front desk found us some in their office. Two minor complaints… the fragrance (wall plug in?) at checkin and in the hallway seemed to bother my sinuses. Once in the room I was fine. Also, the hotel has been beautifully redecorated and everything is modern except for the light switches and outlets. They are almond colored. It may not be a big deal to most, but it‘a a small detail that cheapens the hotel’s ambiance. Other than those two slight issues it was outstanding.

Wonderful New Orleans Hotel

Pros: Located on St. Charles with street cars passing in front which will bring you all the way to Canal Street. Can walk the rest of the way to River Walk
Cons: No more early morning false fire alarms.
Location: Rooms are located above the restaurant and you are only a street car ride away from Poydras, Canal St, Bourbon St, the Superdome and the WWII museum.
The hotel was a little difficult to locate, the hotel entrance is next to Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro and you must enter the same valet parking entrance as the restaurant. The desk receptionist upgraded us to a suite at no additional charge due to some cancellations which gave us a balcony and a Jacuzzi tub. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast included eggs, sausage and French toast sticks, better than the usual danishes and yogurt fair at other establishments. The only dark cloud was a false alarm woke us at 6 am. Other than that, the entire experience was first class.

nice hotel for the price

Pros: casual, nice staff, relatively safe community
Location: see above
the hotel was away from the dense parking and tight quarters of the French Quarter but had nice restaurants within walking distance--one even on the first floor of the hotel. And it was not far from the main sights of New Orleans.

the hotel was very accomodating

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Quiet, trolley stop
The room they assigned to us was not ready so they gave us an upgrade. The hotel was on a very quiet street but very close to all the tourist attractions. There was a good restaurant inside the hotel & the trolley stop was just outside the door. It couldn't have been any better.

Nice location in the Garden District, breakfast buffet was minimal, but overall good value.

Centrally located in the Garden District with valet free parking! Very easy to get in and out of hotel at any time of day. Lobby is very small and so is the breakfast buffet area. Breakfast that was offered was adequate but not wonderful. Rooms were small, clean and nicely decorated. Good value for your money. I'm planing on staying here again.
