I like that the property appeared to be updated fairly recently. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. However some areas were under repair/renovation and the state fire marshal was doing fire alarm testing that lasted 45 minutes the posted warning sign stated it would be 3 minutes.

The air conditioning was out

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: breakfast not free to regular guests
We arrived for a long weekend visit to find the air conditioning was not working in the lobby and common area. This meant dining in the lobby, where we had breakfast every morning, was a pretty uncomfortable experience. The staff dealt with things in heroic fashion, never rude or impatient though they must have been miserably hot. They were offering free bottles of water to guests. Fortunately the individual rooms and hallways had air conditioning and our stay was otherwise fine. I'd recommend this place despite the snafu for the great service and courtesy, especially the breakfast server who did a great job!

didn't sleep well

At check-in, I made a mistake and said "yes" when the clerk asked "two beds?". I figured we'd open a suitcase on one bed, and sleep in the other, like we have so many other times. The beds were only full size, not queen, so my wife and I were each on the edge of the bed. The mattress was stiff at the edge and soft in the middle, so I was on a slope toward the middle. I couldn't sleep like that, so I went to the other bed. We almost never sleep separately, but it was the only way to sleep in that room. They had big flatscreen TV's in the lobby and outside the conference rooms, so we watched some football, but oddly, it wasn't HD. Somewhat disappointing in this day and age. Nice sugar cookies in the lobby with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Friendly desk clerk.
