Room was clean. Bed was comfortable, staff was very good and attentive. Beach was clean and lots of sun loungers. Would suggest to others this property...very good value for the money!

There is a great deal to love about Oualie and some things that did not go so well. Having a 32 room boutique on the ocean is wonderful. Most of the staff was nice and helpful. The beach was excellent and would highly recommend for families including multigenerational vacations. The billing and front desk staff were not a great experience. Billing and credits from the booking of the room were not clear to the traveler between Travelocity and the billing staff. Then there's the little $1254.00 plus VAT of over $250 (yes that number is correct - I did not make a $1500 local phone call) that took way too long to resolve with the unable or unwilling front desk staffer. My recommendation is GO! but read your bill VERY carefully before you check out.

Awesome villa style place on the beach

Pros: Location, location, location! The rooms are pretty, and the canopy beds are charming! I love sitting on the screened in porch and having coffee.
Cons: The cable wasn't working.
Location: 10 minutes from Pinney's Beach and all the fun bars there. Several great restaurants nearby as well.
This place is amazing! It is on a super beach in Nevis, close to many fun places. Although the cable wasn't really working properly at this time, who wants to stay inside and watch tv anyway! The hammocks and beach chairs are free, and watching the sun set with the boats in the scene is a dream come true! The restaurant and bar are convenient, and we heard the most amazing steel pan player on a Friday night. What an awesome place this is to relax and recharge by the beach.

Laid back Nevis

Loved this place for its local flavor and charm! Nothing fancy, but very cute and comfortable. Nice little cottages, right on the beach. Comfy mahogany canopy beds. Good restaurant with friendly service and great beach-side bar. Just what you would expect for a sweet, low-key Caribbean escape. We aren't divers but would be perfect if you are, as the dive boat leaves daily, right from the dock of the resort. Dock is also convent for taking a water taxi to and from St.Kitts. (although, unless you're with a group of four or more to split the taxi fare, it is probably cheaper to take the ferry from St Kitts to Charlestown and a taxi to Oualie Beach.) Enjoyed sitting on the old-school Caribbean lounge chairs on our screened-in porch in the evenings, just watching the ocean and sun set with our rum punches in hand. (Their bar makes an excellent Caribbean rum punch!) We stayed here very late in the season, (May) so it was not fully booked and very quiet. In the height of winter, this place is probably quite lively!

Oualie in Nevis a Great"Chill-Out" Spot

Just got back from Nevis and had a great stay at Oualie Beach Resort. This seaside hotel is made up of roomy cottages and about a dozen are right on the beach. The entire facility has only 32 rooms with air-conditioning.cable TV and wireless internet access.. If you're looking for the upscale, afternoon tea crowd who frequent the island's plantation inns or the Four Seasons, Oualie may not be your place. However, if you like a laid-back, chill-out atmosphere where an active, younger crowd gather on a gorgeous Caribbean beach, this is the spot. It's family friendly and is perfect for the partying Parrot-head crowd. Water sports are the main feature here from SCUBA, snorkeling, wind-surfing and deep sea sport fishing, ocean-kayaking, etc My wife and I found it reasonably priced with good food and a friendly staff from the front office to the beach bar.
