Although this was a great location, there was an electrical issue with the bathroom lights. When you turned the. On you could here the crackling behind the switch plate. We let the front desk know several times, but the issue was not resolved. On the last day the lights would also go out, which was not just a problem when owing to the bathroom, but with showering. Dangerous!

Staff was very helpful. We arrived a few hours before check in time. Our room was ready so they let us check in. Took care of everything from bringing our bags up to the room to parking our car. Room is very nice. Very close to the Hofbrau Haus. Will stay here again if we come back to Munich.

This was our second stay at the Platzl, perfect location, clean, quiet, friendly little bar in lobby, associated restaurants were both great, a real gem.
